We see a lot of new test for our comps, but 3Dmark is an oldie but a goodie in that it's still keeping up with the times. here's some of the features that it has and some results of various test I've run today. :) First a general idea of some of the test in the Advanced edition along with some extra's (note that Port Royal is an RTX test) And Now for the results of the test I did today. Hope everybody enjoys!

The good thing about 3DMARK is while it is certainly not a new kid on the block, they have certainly kept up their portfolio with the times. Something I really like is that under one purchase, all the new additions they make to the software come as free extra that gets installed ready for use, for free. I have 3DMARK on STEAM so all the new extra's just get added in and then I will have a play with it when I know something new is on the scene. I will have to whip out the benching this weekend and post up some scores.

So I finally got around to doing a bench with my system ''Workstation/Gamer" I had to limit the CPU to 8 cores for appropriate performance. For some reason the VRS Test would not run, could not for the life of me get it to run for some reason so I skipped it and just did a run of Time Spy Extreme.

I updated my Time Spy so I could run the extreme test. lol, People who say that SLI is dead haven't seen these kinda results. Note the cpu is kinda close since U cut yours back to 8 cores for the test. But the dual 2080ti's just slaughtered my single 2070.:D Screenshot_215.thumb.jpg.4f0800a3472f82027a381be1dd114dcd.jpg Oh,if anyone's interested PC Mark 10 is on sale until Jan 2nd for $4.49 U.S.

Yeah SLI is not dead, while more adoption would be nice in game titles, I still love the additional boost in those titles that do support it.

Yeah CPU cut it back so it's a fairer comparison but interestingly If I had all 32 cores active, when running the API Benchmark, the results were awful. Even Dynamic Memory mode was enabled. May have to play with some settings to get all 32cores playing nicely with the API Benchmark, interesting all the same lol

  • 4 months later...

...cold and rainy Saturday + some Covd restrictions make for some good benching weather :o

I re-ran my favourite (PortRoyal) and also the DLSS feature test for the first time (which is basically 2x Port Royal in a row, with / without DLSS). That makes it a nice long bench to test cooling system performance...all those pumps and rads did their job; GPU loop is not heat soaking and temps remained fairly flat at under 30 c / full load, which makes a big difference with 2080 Tis
