Hello all,

So with the ever growing concern over security we have toyed with the idea of looking into bringing a 2FA module to ExtremeHW which would allow users to choose to have 2FA enabled on their accounts. It would of course not be mandatory, but offers an extra level of security to those who want it. However before we go delving into the topic any further, we would like to see who would use this feature if it was available. This will determine whether or not this feature comes to pass.

All the best,

E

Yeah, if we were to go for it, it would be via an App, likely Google Authenticator.

Oh, I thought I posted here but I didn't.

What are the cons to adding 2FA? I know all of the pros already.

If it was offered but not mandatory, I'm all for it, and I would probably use it if it ran through Google Authenticator, as previously mentioned.

No cons so far as I am aware, so long as you have your backup codes should your phone die etc lol

It would only be an optional thing for members, not mandatory :)

Ha...oh right lol. Well all things considered I think the added layer of security will be worth the cost (Assuming we can implement it in a satisfactory manner)

Well then I'd say yes. There's no reason for it to not be an option then.
