I'm in as CptAsian. Are the entries same as last time, based on WU or is it just a simplified one entry per person once they submit one or five WUs or something? And thanks for organizing another giveaway!

No this time it is as simple as stating you are IN and ensuring you submit at least one WU during the comp period to team EHW. :D

I'm not sure I'll be able to, not this time of year. Even with my GPU isn't outputting lots of heat, it's still way too hot.

25c ambient in the living room, add a few degrees in the computer room.

Windows open, room fan blowing and I'm sitting here in my shorts ?

The watercooled rig has no problem with the temps, the aircooled one is at mid 70's celcius for the gpu's.

Soon those temps will drop too, once the watercooling comes in for the 5700xt's.

I was lucky to buy a house with a basement, so the folding rigs are down there and stay cool most of the year anyway. I just upgraded the electrical down there and finished running the ethernet too. Before it was just a bunch of cables and extension cords all over the place. I had to run more ethernet for my wife since she is working from home and the wifi isnt the best, so she got a brand new wall connection in her "office" i.e. our bedroom. I only have 1 free port left on my 8 port switch, so next will be an upgraded wifi router, proper switch and patch panel setup because as the kids get older I will have to wire their rooms as well.

Just turned on my gaming rig and switched the other 2 rigs over to EHW folding. See you at the finish line!

The room fan helps a lot, makes it feel colder with a little breeze :p

I'm in all the way! Both rigs are running, only a bit of gaming today to end the weekend ?

I wish I had a basement, instead I have a one floor apartment with a flat roof. Its always warmer inside than outside..

Hopefully one day I'll have a house with a basement and a 2 car garage, dream big :p

Nice ! Plus there is something satisfying to kitting out a room to your needs, though the lead up of actually doing it can sometimes be daunting but well worth it.

Nice one dude ! Basements must be awesome for rigs, never has one myself as generally speaking UK housing do not have basements (A missed trick there methinks, but I am guessing there must be a reason as even the new builds do not have them).

I think most of it has got to do with the price tag. Not sure what it's like in the UK, but over here the main problem is the water level.

Extra sound dampening and isolation, strong walls and floor, everything waterproof, that must be expensive.

Many of the bigger houses have a basement, but many of the new normal sized houses don't.

Yes a lot of planning has gone into the network project, but thankfully I have plenty of time to get it all up and running. Its really gratifying being able to upgrade and maintain your own home.

Here in the states some areas have basement others do not. In my area its more common than not, regardless of house size or price tag. In Florida you wont see many if any, because of the water table. In Arizona there is some old law where the ground is not yours or something so you are not allowed to have a basement.

The room fan helps a lot, makes it feel colder with a little breeze :p

Yes I was lucky to find a house with a basement and the 2 car garage after the market crashed over here and the interest rates were at their lowest. It was all just good timing, because we just had our first child and we really needed something larger than our 1 bedroom apartment.

Oh dear, it's way too hot here to fold now lol

3rd floor computer room has its advantages... and its disadvantages.

Yeah that's a bit relatable. My setup at home was in a bedroom directly on top of our garage, which basically turns into a big oven over the summer. So that of course heats up the floor what with hot air passively rising and heats up that room too. Not ideal.
