  1. With current PPD, we could calculate which cards would be best ppd/$ I know six 1070's would get you 4M to 5M PPD without a huge power draw and decent output. 1070 go used for like $200 to $250 CAD.
  2. I must be misunderstanding the bench scores in the article as it looks like they are miles away from that ? don't forget, these are early ES samples and not a K series chip. So you can at least expect this specific chip 200MHz above what it is on this video and the K series chip quite a bit more than that. It might not even be boosting properly for all we know currently.
  3. for CBR20, they need at least 1250 points per two hyperthreaded cores (per 2c/4T) stock on a K series chip if they want to keep their crown.

  5. 6. TR3 won't be on X399, I can confirm this right off the bat, but can't really say anything more. https://www.anandtech.com/show/14963/trx40-chipset-for-3rd-gen-threadripper-listed
  7. This is literally just water, in a bucket, with spray paint on top and dipped the thing right in it.
  8. I've long wondering if I should get one of these. I'll soon have a spare core 2 quad rig with 4GB DDR2, so I figure that'd be enough right? I'd have like up to 10 wired connections total.
  9. I did a few modding experiences lately, namely plastidipping a motherboard along with paint hydro dipping, I wanted to gain knowledge regarding these two modding techniques. I say both went VERY well! The only downside, is that I'm not sure where or how, but the motherboard LEDs do not work anymore appart from the I/O shield which stays purple. I'll eventually be tearing the whole thing down again and reassembling the motherboard to make sure everything is connected as it should. Anyways, I learned a lot on this project and I think the results are still quite good! I had to mod this InWin USA 103 to fit an Alphacool English UT60 360 in Push/Pull! (110mm total thickness!). There was a bracket up top which needed a lot of trimming since it holds both the dual hard drive bay along with the I/O ports so I could not just remove it! 10. I've tried 2-3 mounts already, exactly same result, this is a cheap ebay ES sample. It has other issues too like not saving ANYTHING in the BIOS relating to it.
