Nice to see you, bro.  Happy you're here.

So sad about EVGA. Things immediately took a bad turn in the world of PC enthusiasts the moment they walked off the stage, and I do not ever expect things to be as good as they were when they were disrupting status quo with their overclocker-focused world-leading motherboards and video cards. They had no match in terms of product or service delivery excellence, and probably never will.

Totally... very sad. Sort of lost a lot of my enthusiasm because there's really nobody else quite like EVGA. Still, trying to get my hands on a 5090 of any sort has been next to impossible so far. 😕

  2. EVGA very recently locked their forums to read-only, so you'll likely see a few of us come over from there. I've had an account here for a while, but rarely used it.. at least until now.

This is my EVGA forum sidebar. Nostalgia for me after almost 16 years. ðŸ¥²

EVGA Forum became read only suddenly & suggestion was to engaging on Reddit / many seem to not like that platform

Looks like there are members who will be looking for a new forum to call home; as their comments on Reddit suggest it is not for them

Folding & Crunching teams will probably also see some losses.

I'm trying to use the Reddit platform & it does not seem very user friendly / organized IMO .... have to see if this old dog can learn new tricks

Maybe a few of those folks will give this forum a chance

"EVGA Community Update 3 days ago

Responding to the feedback from our valued customers and in light of Reddit’s widespread popularity, EVGA would like to encourage its community to transition to Reddit. As of this announcement, our existing forums will be read only and our team will actively engage with customers on Reddit threads moving forward.

EVGA and our Moderators would like to thank all its forum members for the years of posts bringing together a great community of PC Enthusiast, and we hope to continue this community at its new home on Reddit.

SmookinJoe has gone to TechPowerUp folding team and their forums. They appear to have the more traditional forum set up, somewhat like EVGA was. I have accounts here and TechPowerUp, neither of which I use often at all, but both are streets ahead of that reddit circus. Reddit is totally unsuited for the purpose of a tech forum.

It's owned by one guy who probably just wants to close up shop and retire.

I definitely figured writing was on the wall for EVGA to close up shop in the next few years after they ditched doing graphics cards. You saw it in that they also killed the motherboard division, and here you are seeing them ditch the forums.

Maybe some can join in here. 🙂

Yup. Andrew Han. What a prick. Single-handedly destroyed the best company in the business.

  5. Long time EVGA forums member (since 04/2009) looking for a new forum to call home now that EVGA has pretty much ended itself. One of our mods (Cool GTX) suggested ExtremeHW. Just having a look around for now. Cheers.
