  1. Probably best way to go. Was wondering about 5800x as it's not much more money.
  2. Not even sure I want it. Definitely don't need it as 3600 is filling my needs quite nicely as is.
  3. I want to try one if these! Don't need it but it's such a nice little beast with 4x 5mm heatpipes in 90.3x23.7x42.3mm package it's a little beast!
  4. Currently running B450M Mortar Max (MS7B89) under Ryzen 5 3600 with 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz RAM. Is it worth swapping CPU to upgrade CPU? I don't want to spend a lot of money. Don't know if I should upgrade or keep it as is. Just wait and see what comes out later this year. Most demanding software I use right now uses up to 6-8 cores. Thanks in advance!
  5. I use ZEP 45 AERO /doc/img_products/200x300/0001ZEP45DF Prodotti: ZEP 45 DUAL FORCE WWW.ZEP.CO.UK Excellent quality penetrating lubricant with low VOC contents. or ZEP 45 DUAL FORCE /doc/img_products/200x300/0001ZEP45DF Prodotti: ZEP 45 DUAL FORCE WWW.ZEP.CO.UK Excellent quality penetrating lubricant with low VOC contents. Best penetrant lubricant I know of. It's also an excellent penetrating oil with PTFE as primary lubricant as oils vapor off. It's penetrant unlocks / frees up everything and moves PTFE in so it keeps on lubricating. And it has no chlorinated solvent in it. I spray some into something like a 14 oz can with cloth over top so I can collect the oils and PTFE in liquid form and put that into a small needle oiler and put a drop into fan. 30ml Clear Rosin Needle Dispenser Bottle for Glues Solder Flux Past + 11 Needles WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for 30ml Clear Rosin Needle Dispenser Bottle for Glues Solder Flux Past + 11 Needles at the best online prices at eBay! Free delivery for many... This kind of setup works great! A can lasts me many years.

    New Fan

Too bad it's April fools. Ever heard of peeps cutting out motor braces and fan in our housing and using housing as 25mm spacer? Quiets things down a bunch!
  7. What do we have to do to get reputation points?
  8. Just noticed this forum! All I can say is Wow! Not sure if I should post this here or not. If not please tell we where to put it. Sold my vinyl and tape library along with turntable, Advent 201 cassette decks, Marantz amp & pre-amp but kept Advent 300 receiver / pre-amp/tuner, Sennheiser HD414 headphones (still going strong, but have to replace earpads every 4-5 years). I was using Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 speakers for home theater / office system until a few months ago when 1/8" stereo jacks have given up. Got Klipsch ProMedia 5.1'sin 2002 and had amp rebuilt 12-13 years ago. Really miss that setup. Have Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 only used a few months from new then stored in closet. Got them out to use but they are dead for some reason. Grabbed a set of Phanteks speakers to get by until I figure out what to do. I'm surprised they sound as good as they do for £15.00 computer speakers. Obviously no base, but didn't expect them to be as good as they are. So now I'm looking for a replacement for / or repair of ProMedia 5.1 so we can have decent sound in our home theater (which is also office as it's all in one room).
  9. Nice bit of work you are doing. Thanks for sharing.
  10. J7SC_Orion Nice article! Haven't used AIO/CLC except to test a few. Wasn't impressed by CLCs at all, but AIOs that are not CLC seem okay (marginally). Ran custom loops from beginning .. when we made them with automotive radiators and pond/aquarium pumps up until air coolers went to heatpipes, starting with Thermalright. While I enjoyed water cooling top tier air cooling does a good job (as long as case airflow is done right), and is so much easier to build and maintain. Only H2O system I'm running is be quiet! Silent Loop 280 (basically a entry level pre-assembled and filled loop with all threaded fittings, copper radiator, fill port, etc.). Found a dead Silent Loop 360 and next time I service that system I plan to either replace 280m with 360mm rad or add 360mm to loop. Again, nice write-up!

    Saying Hello

Looking forward to seeing what is changed. I need to spend more time on this version, but so far I'm liking better than most.

    Saying Hello

True, but that's what consumer marketing is all about these days .. and has been for many, many years. Granted, it's getting worse and worse. If you want to continue this discussion we should probably more it to appropriate forum rather than here in New Members forum.
