welp, thanks to this issue, I took an interest in computer science and electrical engineering so much that now I'm in rolling into a university to study it and just got a broken PS3 delivered to me in order to learn how to fix it in the same way that I approached this stupid laptop. Here's hoping to the next generation of engineers that they don't end up making problems for their customers to the point that they feel the need to become engineers themselves. -
I'm still having issues because I also have a black screen despite the right button is blinking orange and having the fat32 USB containing 1QCrisis.bin within it exported from .cap using UEFITool.exe to do so, but I found a good video and I'm going to see if by following these hex modification procedures that this will all work out somehow. I hope I can bypass the hardware requirement though... I already had my dad spend money on replacing the bios battery for me thinking that was the issue. I just want to try linux
