  1. I recently cancelled the TV portion of my service, I was surprised they didn't offer to lower the cost.  She just asked me why I was cancelling and that was it.  She was nice enough to cancel my internet also and then reactivate it at the new customer price that's locked in for 4 years.

I tried to duplicate this issue on my machine (current WIN 10 PRO OS), but couldn't. Could be related to the browser/OS in use ( Mozilla Firefox on an Apple device? ), enabled Ad/Script blockers, app/OS versioning, etc.

@DiffidentDid you try clearing your cache (CTRL+F5) to see whether it's a cache related issue?  Either way (yay or nay), knowing the browser in use, OS, enabled Ad/Script blockers, versions of those, etc., could be of use to the site's developer(s).

I'm using Firefox 110.0 on Linux with Ublock origin, but still happens with Ublock turned off.   It also happens when using Librewolf, with no added plugins.

I did clear the cache.  I closed Firefox, which i have set to clear history, cache and cookies on closing, and logged back in and still had the issue.

I'm also still having a problem with the navbar covering the top line of new posts.

...doesn't pass our moose and grizzly test (...yet).

But this is becoming seriously worrisome as this will be used by corporate and political interests to the ying-yang. The best defense would be teaching MAXIMUM analytical skills to our kids, but instead, it seems to be mostly 'multiple-choice' (or ChatGPT essays?). Many of the next generation will become cannon-fodder in the future disinformation > misinformation - 'information' battles.

These deep fakes don't change anything.  We don't have an honest media, there are no more Walter Cronkite's.  They don't report the news, they shape the news to fit their own agenda.  Even the so called "fact checkers" don't actually fact check..they seem to overlook inconvenient truths.  The media we have now are the OG deep fakes.  It's all gone downhill in the past 20 years.  Ratings, clicks and pushing a narrative are the priority, not honest journalism.

Exciting stuff! Vorons have interested me for sure, but I'm 100% not in the market for another printer at the moment. Will you be posting updates somewhere as you build/run it?

I think I'm too excited to build it to spend time taking pics and making posts.  Maybe on the second one.  I plan on building one of the smaller Voron mods.  It will be one of these.  Can't decide between the Salad Fork or Tiny-T.....but then the duel extrusion ones are cool too....decisions.....decisions.

I similarly very much do not wish for Microsoft to have any involvement in my PC outside of security updates. I'm currently trying to suss out wether or not now is the right time for me to switch to Linux or Windows 11 (away from currently being on Windows 10). The main application I use are HitFilm and OBS. HitFilm is not available in Linux but I have been slowly learning Davinci Resolve which is supported. I don't play many games on my main workstation but it looks like most of the games I play will work but, guessing I would have to Play any Forza releases on test machines.

Forza 4 and 5 have Silver ratings on ProtonDB.  They're playable in Linux and on SteamDeck.  If you want to find out if your games work in Linux it's always good to check out ProtonDB.  If a game needs a tweak, someone will post how to get it working.

  6. Parts needed to build a Voron v2.4 3D Printer.   Voron isn't a company, it's an open source printer design.  You buy the parts...then you build it.

Get started with VORON 3D printer, the best little CoreXY 'space shuttle' you can build in your garden shed, or your kitchen.

Remember when you could just overclock from the nvidia control panel with a couple sliders? Peppridge farms remembers...

You can still do that in the Linux nvidia control panel....I don't know why they removed it in the Windows version.

But anyway....the solution would be to open source Afterburner...put it up on Gitlab or Github, then it could live forever.

Wow, congrats on the accomplishment. I bet you have played Cyberpunk more hours than I have played all games in the aggregate for the past 5 years. I don't remember the last time I hit 100% achievements. I think I can count on one hand how many titles I have actually played through to the end during that time span, and a couple of them are the same title. I usually end up losing interest before finishing.

I always try to get all the achievements, it's a game inside the game.  I've reached 100% achievements on 23 games.  The most pain in the ass achievement I ever did was carrying that gnome around from the start of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 until the end to put him in the rocket.  The only way to carry him is with the gravity gun...so you're constantly putting him down to do whatever you have to do...and then go back to wherever I left him and carry on.
