  1. https://www.thurrott.com/windows/298807/microsoft-killing-windows-subsystem-for-android-amazon-appstore-windows-11-march-2025
  2. Would say the cost of enclosure also factor in low adoption, a good standard one cost about mid-range GPU price, which you could just use to buy PC. I do like the idea of having eGPU, for example during travelling I could bring my portable 13" laptop anywhere at daytime and use the eGPU on hotel's TV at night, but current implementation is just too expensive and too cumbersome. Maybe something like ROG XG Mobile or GPD G1 would be very interesting moving forward.
  3. As much as I would like Nvidia open source driver, releasing employees credential is kinda dick move and they could release user credential too in the future. It is already hard to paraphrase a good password.
  4. Not sure, seems anything with cartridge style which they can embed RFID on and system with auto detection.
  5. I have no problem moving to Windows 11 if only they didn't remove the taskbar ungroup feature. That taskbar grouping is annoying and so far I have to resort alt-tab as a simpler alternatives.
  6. Agree, TPM doesn't make sense at all. Does it protect rootkit, ransomware, spyware or malware? At best it blocks malware on UEFI level.
  7. One further improvement that can be implemented on iGPU side of things with Infinity Cache implementation too. This will be interesting moving forward.
  8. if the byproduct is really helium, that also killing 2 bird with 1 stone with Helium scarcity we're facing/wasting right now.
  9. Agree, remember kb5000802, that almost cost me my business as I can't print graphic. Why Microsoft is so fast on updates that are generally can wait and mostly unnecessary?
  10. This update caused program in my office doesn't print graphic, I think they should be careful with forceful update especially security update that are bypassed from the deferred update program
  11. Yep, and adding salt to injury Apple M1 also proof not that ARM arch are better but X86 has been complacent for too long. If next gen Exynos also a powerful CPU comparable to SD875 then fabs market will change quite far.
  12. Yeah, but here also I see some provider do hybrid with Nokia/Ericsson platform too, at least on the FTTH side. They do move many 4G infras from Nokia to Huawei/ZTE tho and performance kinda drop significantly since then.
  13. Xilink portfolio is quite big in AV industry, it will be interesting how AMD and NVIDIA spread their business wings.
  14. Hope this pushes Risc-V forward, I don't think the compatibility layers between the 2 will be hard.
  15. Silent user from the other site, saying hi here.
  16. I also use Chrome for everything else that's blocked on Firefox. Seems easier second browser to do so.
  17. Thunderbolt will be hard, even on USB4 the PCIE passthrough part is optional and Intel doesn't seems to be interested in releasing Thunderbolt to be manufactured by 3rd party (maybe this will change when Apple use ARM) On networking side, I though some Ryzen laptop on 4th series do use Intel card? At least on the Wifi side.
  18. At least the addition of remote is kinda useful. I always find Chromecast lacking remote a bit unnerving.
