CPS - The New Bully on the PC Playground - Review Discussion
Barefooter replied to Mr. Fox's topic in Review Discussions
Thanks for the great review. That's a nice looking case! -
Yes I always check out the one star reviews too. Thanks for getting me my "X"... another couple of years I'll get the "T" I'm most leery of giving up the height that I have now. Also I did not consider slitting the screen in three would be an issue. You made some great points thank you! I saw that article. I never thought about that, and I would certainly have 16:9 content displayed at times. That happened after only 700 hours of gaming too! Yeah at this point I'm probably going to go with the 48" 16:9 OLED Panel. That will give me plenty of height and I can still play at 21:9 resolution if I want too. Plus I can still fit two 27" aux monitors vertically to the left of it. With the 49" mega wide Samsung I would not be able to do that with my desk set-up. For now I'm going to hold out until after CES and see what comes out there.

This monitor has been out for a short while already, but this review from Tom's Hardware is from today. I've actually had my eye on this monitor. I currently game on a LG 38" wide screen with 3840 x 1600 resolution and just love it! It is about an inch taller than a standard 27" monitor and when I purchased it I did not think the extra height would make much difference, but it actually really does. I currently have a 55" LG C2 TV in my living room. For my next PC monitor upgrade I wanted to wait until I could get an OLED monitor. So I'm kind of torn between going with this "Mega-Wide" Samsung 49" OLED and losing the one inch of height or going with a 48" LG C3. If you have any input to help me make a decision please comment below. Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 49-inch Curved Mega-Wide Gaming Monitor Review: Three Displays In One Giant Screen

Nice review! I would rather use the heat sinks and have my RAM running cooler! -
Thanks! I did not know about the tags.

Agreed, the 14900K just gets a 200 MHz bump in clock speed, while the 14700K gets more cores. However we will have to see if people are able to squeeze higher memory over clocks from the 14900K imc.

[Giveaway Closed] Assassin's Creed Mirage (Ubisoft Connect)

I guess I'm too late now, but Assassin's Creed Syndicate is the only one I've played. I really did enjoy playing it. I must have seven or eight Assassin's Creed games in my library... just haven't had time to get to them yet -
Wow! I just read the review... very impressive for sure! I love the chrome ones. My first thought was you could take them apart and paint or powder coat them a custom color, until I read that they cannot be disassembled. Unless you just have to have RGB these will be the new "go to" fan.

I'm just curious how other people store their used radiators. I usually buy new radiators flush them real good and then use them right away, but I recently bought a used case that came with three EK 360 rads. There was still green coolant residue inside, so I hooked up my sink adapter and ran warm tap water through them for about 15 minutes to get all the old coolant out, but I don't plan on using them right away. I drained as much of the water out of them as I could. Would it be best to just let them air dry and store them with the ports open to air, or would it be better to cap off the ports after they are dry? I could also fill them with coolant since I have extra on hand and then cap them off. Recommendations please.

Anyone know if this game will scale with SLI? -
Yeah I rolled it out of my work shop into the morning sunlight!

Well... I just couldn't help myself. I bought another CaseLabs case! This is one of the most unique offerings I've ever seen. I actually bought this a couple of months ago on eBay. It is a S5 two tone grey exterior with white interior. It came with the following options and extra parts: 3 different sets of doors, solid, ventilated, and windowed. 3 different top panels, solid, ventilated, and extended ventilated. Pedestal and it has both solid and ventilated flex bay inserts for the front as well as two rear panels, both solid and ventilated with fan mount. 2 360 mounts in pedestal 240 flex bay radiator mount for the front 240/280 drop in mount on the top Whenever I get around to building it in I'll probably use the configuration in the pics below, extended top with windowed doors. What I like about having the two extra sets of doors is that if I ever decide to do some kind of wild mod to either the solid or ventilated doors and it doesn't work out I still have the windowed doors to use. This case is totally stock, unmodified and in perfect condition except for one tiny chip in the middle of one of the solid doors. The guy I bought it from did the most magnificent packaging job of anything I have ever purchased! Shipped in three boxes one for the main case assembled, one for the pedestal with all the accessories and extra parts inside, and one with the extra panels. Every piece was individually bubble wrapped. It literally took me two evenings to unpack it all, and ended up filling multiple garbage bags of packing peanuts. The only thing that I was wishing for is that it had a 360 drop in top rad mount, then I realized that I have one in my other S5 case if I really want to run a 360 rad in the top. I love this color combination and will most likely keep the external panels the stock color rather than custom powder coat it.

I've seen putty used before, but never tried it myself. It seems like it would work better than regular pads, especially if you have irregularities. I'll have to pick some up and give it a try one of these days.
