  1. Interesting thread. Pioneerisloud and Snackcharmed are giving very sound advice. You think a system sounds great, and it may, until you hear a different setup and didn't realize how much sound you were missing before. If you are willing to spend some cash to upgrade to recommendations given, you would be blown away. Room acoustics and speaker placement can make a huge difference also. I also have a large room that was converted from a two car garage. I have a simple Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 hooked up yo a Schiit Modi/Magni stack that I always thought sounded very good for what it is a large room. I also have a Yamaha receiver that I bought with some inexpensive Polk surround speakers that wasn't as crisp as the small Klipsch. Last May my daughter and son in law bought a new house that has in wall speakers for surround sound and my son in law let me use his Paradigm tower speakers and 15" Velodyne sub. Man what a setup, hear sounds in the music I never knew was there. Love to see the Ping Pong table! Avid players here. If that setup was mine, I would hang both of the rear speakers from the "hood" behind you equal distance apart compared to the chair. that way you will get a decent surround set up. Enjoy the audio journey, it can be a rabbit hole Heres a few pics of mine. I cant get them to be right side up no matter configuration in folder.
  2. My little corner of the world, and view to the other side of the room. Tis a large room at 25'x25'. There is also a ping pong table in the other corner that we use almost daily.
  3. Love me some pizza! We had the the same last night. Fresh Mozz and pepperoni stuffed crust with pepperoni, Black Olives, Buffalo Mozz and fresh basil.
  4. Recently received a gift from my son in law. He and my daughter bought a new home with built in surround speakers, sooo, he has left his old speakers here for me to use. Man, are they room filling and my living room is large at 25'x25' Samsung 55" 4K TV Yamaha RX-385 receiver Paradigm Tower monitors 9v5 Matching Paradigm center channel Matching rear surrounds Velodyne 15" Ct Series CT150 Subwoofer ( Weighs around 100 ) I've modded the stand with carbon fiber vinyl wrap where is was a nasty brown laminate wood

    The ugly side

Rebuilt same hardware into a new case, the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance. Cable management was breeze, Love the back cable covers and Suicide doors
  6. Lol, It's a simple banana hanger. Cost me maybe $10. Thanks!
  7. I've had that set for a few years now and really like them. I think you will be happy with them. Very comfortable with the velour ear pads, fit around the whole ear. Very well rounded sound, enough low end without being to Bassy to drown out the mids or highs and not too bright for me. Cord is a little long and not detachable, but I only use them at my PC and have the cord cable routed to my desk. Powering them with a Schiit stack Modi/Magni 3
  8. Thanks! Its great to see familiar names.
  9. Schiithead here! Apologies for the background, lol.
  10. Found this forum from link at OCN. Been a member there since 2008. Not a huge contributor, but peruse almost daily. Can't wait to see what this becomes. Know it will be good with Enterprise at the helm!
  11. Same here! Excited to see what this becomes!
