Things definitely seem a lot more even! Are the numbers too artificially high though? We could always change the multiplers (for everyone) to be reduced by a factor of 10? I'm gonna try add tooltips to the UI with the non-multiplied points for each user too so we can compare.

Hi all, The monthly reset went mostly fine. I had a couple bugs to deal with, so needed to run a couple of manual resets to verify the fixes. But I saved the points from the first update for 4 users, and they've been reapplied. I also updated the multipliers based on @BWG's previous post. And @axipher has moved to an RX 5700. I'm gonna leave it there for now, should get back to some more features after the weekend. Good luck for May everyone!

Stats for Demo Month #1 April are in! ? (Total points and units are inflated by 15,000pts/30 WUs for some test users, but that doesn't impact the 3 teams shown.) Reset will start in about half an hour, so I'll keep an eye on that, then adjust the multipliers. Will post back here hopefully in an hour.

Ok guys, reset happens in about 7 hours. I'll save the results and revise the multipliers at 00:55 UTC, so the first update for May should (?) be in around 01:15. We'll see.

All done, retiring/unretiring/moving users all seems to be sorted. Thanks @Bastiaan_NL, couldn't have done it without your consistent WUs. I'm gonna spend the next few days doing code cleanup/optimizations. We'll hit the monthly reset this weekend, so I'll wait for that before making any new features. In the case it doesn't work as planned, I will continue resetting the stats for everyone until it does work, so potentially the May stats won't "start" until a couple of days in. But I'm hopeful. ?

The three points above are all working now. Testing un-retiring, and moving to another team next. ?

Anything that gives me a WU every few updates will work. The plan is to add you to a dummy team, let you get some points. Then retire you and make sure: - Earned points are not lost for the team - You still show up in the team, but as retired - New points that you earn are not counted Then I'll look into moving you to another team and make sure only the new team is credited. Should take 2/3 days to verify.

Evening all. I've got something working for user retirement, but I need some help. I need someone who is able to Fold on a specific passkey (can be a new one), and is able to deliver WUs semi-regularly. I can't guarantee those points will count for the TC though, so I don't want to grab someone from the existing pool (unless someone is ok with that). Just hard to test that I disable a user and re-enable it again correctly without points coming in consistently. Let me know if anyone's up for it.

Just a heads up guys, I lost some points today (since my last post here). Had an issue with my local DB getting messed up, and wasn't able to recover the latest points at the time. So we're rolled back to earlier today, about 8hrs. Sorry about that, trying to make some scripts to assist with recovery for things like this.

Hey everyone. I've updated the system to no longer filter on the Stanford team you Fold on, after we discussed it probably wasn't necessary. So as long as you continue to abide by the 1 H/W for 1 user+passkey, you should be able to switch between OCN, EHW or anywhere else whenever you want. ?

Stats are back up. Let me know if anything looks wrong, I already caught one place I mixed up multiplied and non-multiplied points. ?

You know, while it's not exposed on the UI, I do also keep the non-multiplied points for each user. You could always keep going with the non-multiplied points for a month or so until you learn to tweak the multipliers to be more valid? Just spitballing, don't know if it's worth bringing in manual multipliers, or just trying to leverage the LARS DB.

Hey guys. I'm running into trouble reworking the DB tables and still keeping the existing stats running. I'm going to have to shut down for a little bit and do some testing. I do have the initial stats for all users for this month, so I should be able to get a valid monthly total for everyone (I can do it manually if I have to), and hope that I'll be back up over the weekend. But I underestimated how much stuff would need to move around. I'm probably gonna bring it down in the next hour or two.

I'll hold my hands up and say I'm just the code monkey here. I just do what gets decided here. Also, you got my name wrong. It's not a big deal the first time... but probably best it doesn't happen again. ? Not threatening anything... but we did just discuss adding the ability to "fine" TC users points if necessary.

Was the final? Or did you want me to reset the points and trial a different multiplier? Like basing the multipliers on the best available nVidia/Windows, nVidia/Linux, AMD/Windows, AMD/Linux, full stop? Rather than based on who has that hardware? I'm planning to reset the points again after the weekend (should have the new DB tables ready then), so I could redo the multipliers and we could see how that runs for a few days?

Remind me of this case (or add it as an issue on github). I think with the new DB should be able to exclude units with no points a bit easier. But will need someone to test with, so let's try it after the monthly reset.
