Cooking is definitely one of my hobbies. It comes from heritage. A lot of family gatherings start with food. Not to mention its how I initially and still, bond with my in-laws. Anyway, all the photos below are from the last... 2 months.
Since I am Slaughtahouse, I'll start with the brisket. I don't have a smoker (yet...) but I've nailed down a good coffee rub, slow cooked recipe over the years. Joshua Weissman has a good cooking recipe. Just search his name + brisket. It'll come up. Just follow that but in an oven. 12-16 hrs at 225f, double wrapped with some liquid. Honestly, as good as you're going to get in an oven. Not as good as Texas brisket but close enough that you got jiggle and its not dry. This one (below) was 5kg. Did around the holidays. Severed with coleslaw and scalloped potatoes. Cut it thiccc to keep it from drying out too quick.
Next is pizza. I've been doing it oven based for a long time. However, our friends got us an Ooni. Changed my life as now I can get Neapolitan pizza at home. I need that cornicione (distinctive crust that is fluffy but has leoparding / spotting). Only possible at 900f. Dough is approx. 68% hydration (water / flour ratio). All by hand and its pretty simple but takes time to ferment. It's about a 18 hr process to get it ready for the oven. Takes about 60-90 seconds to cook. Highly recommend an Ooni OP, you won't regret it...
Our friends got us into wines and cheeses too.
Beamster, manchego, comte are good beginner cheeses. Wines are really preference but if you go to the vintages section and just spend a little bit more than the regular stuff... you'll find some good quality stuff. Into both old world and new world wines.

Nice. Curious to see what the response will be after 7000 Series 3D chips are released over the next couple months. I only expect that market share to grow for the next 2-3 years.

Agreed. I'll begin to populate this thread with my own results. Including stock performance with the MBA / Reference 7900 XTX. Additionally, all of the hoopla around the hot spot / vapour chamber issue. What is it, what is the scope of the issue (which cards are affected), how to diagnose it, what are the steps people need to take to resolve it (RMA).
I've taken some time to consolidate the OP. Hiding the graphs behind spoiler tags to keep it clean. I've also included a relative performance chat with large images so people know, right off the bat what to expect with these cards against other cards in the same or different classes.

Awesome you started a thread here! Thanks for doing this.
Cheers. Yes, it was a long time coming
Edit: I may need to play around with the formatting. The BB code and tables break there. I'll see if I can make it more "intuitive"

I will try to drum up some activity on my side.
I transitioned to OCN from a dying forum at a time I wanted to dive more into enthusiast personal computing. I had built my first CAD X79 rig with the help of many others and had fun doing mods.
Over the years, that knowledge share helped in more ways than I can count on one hand. While the knowledge didn't always directly apply to technical skills in my career; I wasn't building water cooled rigs at work... I would like to believe the community helped support and fuel passion projects that have improved hard and soft skills.

Nice review. Impressive to see how well it keeps up with your custom loop (~3c).
I'm not sure if I agree with your con: "It's a big black box with no lighting or style embellishments".
Considering the market is heading into this direction...
I'm glad there are some innovative engineered solutions coming around to the PC market like the Prosiphon elite.

Hello all,
I just signed up (as recommended by damric). I believe he already mentioned but I'm still looking for additional testers. EDIT* For Canada eh.
Send me a PM if you want to discuss further. All results / feedback are still on OCN but i'm looking to "expand my horizons" for more testers.
Cheers,
Slaughta
