My Awards

  1. nice work @Mr. Fox If I can find the template I will update but that's not guarantied.
  2. Id like to see what you can do with a 775 build...
  3. I could see if you were hitting 6.3-6.4GHz ES OC that might be a possibility, but IMO not worth it. Your performance/benchmark results will not see enough of a substantial difference to justify the buy. These processors are nearly maxed out from the factory. If If you have cash to throw down go with something unique (at least that's what I would do lol)
  4. Simply cannot have a laptop without the touchpoint option. Yes, it's slightly dated in terms of hardware, but still sufficient for my needs, and this Xeon is nearly identical in performance to Intel's flagship, the 4C/8T 6920HQ CPU Specs GPU Seriously considering one of these as well since the 6920hq has a partially unlocked multiplier. Plus, this laptop also meets my criterium requirements due to TrackPoint and M2000M GPU. Can be had for ~$300 for a decent machine... (dell precision 7510)
  5. At the time, I had been eagerly awaiting AMDs newest GPU release (for some reason I'm just not and never have been an Nvidia fan), so when the "RX 5700 XT" was finally revealed, I guess it just left an indelible impression on me. Basically, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. So 2.5 years later I still keep it for nostalgic reasons. I can also still play most new games above 110FPS with ultra or high selected. So by no means am I missing out, it's a great gaming experience.
  6. same here. Why not stand out from the crowd, you know
  7. LOL lighten up there buddy. I hope you take it more as comic relief going forwards, because that was my primary intent when posting. I mean for Christ's sake I posted a comparison between a trapezoidal shaped PC and a rug doctor lol. How serious do you think I really am?
  8. Obviously, there are other factors including current and temperature in addition to voltage that factor in, and generally speaking if two are under control he should be alright. And they were fine, so he's just paranoid or something... Interested to know what makes you think Sandy, Ivy and haswell degrade easier than other chips?
  9. Interesting. Just today, I stumbled across an old 386 server while searching for a different tech topic altogether. Looks very similar to what you posted above...
  10. Hey thanks for the compliment! Not really much of a follower, so yeah, I did something a little different. in point of fact I put a lot of time effort and energy into making nearly 1000mm of radiator work in a case never designed for anything larger than a 120mm fan. lol
  11. But it was a tribute to my father because it was the last computer (using the same case) we both put together, years prior. So I went hunting around the interwebs to find literally ONE coolermaster case remaining in stock in an effort to replicate the original build.
