  1. i have the rockit cool tool and i also bought a practice G6900 celeron to delid before attempting it on my 12900KS and it was very straight forward. I wouldnt ever send my cpu to anyone to have them touch it. If my hands cant do it, then I wont bother with the project. Ive learned to never rely on anyone but myself. So with all that said, dont let the tool discourasge you from doing a delid. the tool works very well
  2. a week has gone by and still havent heard a word about my product shipping yet, and its making me upset. Ive sent 3 messages to this place and have heard nothing back
  3. right, and i wish like hell thermaltake would come back out with these type cases. Id buy another one in a split second
  4. the case is a Thermaltake Core x9 ..... Virtually same case as yours but different panels. X9 has no glass but rather metal mesh and crappy plexi.
  5. No sir, its a Thermaltake Core x9. Been using it since 2015. she has seen MANY MANY builds in it!
  6. Just wanted to join in this thread. This is my 12900KS PC with only 1 loop installed right now as Im waiting for EK to release the FCWB for my eVGA FTW3 3090Ti GPU. It to will have its own loop. All Loops have 1 420mm x 60mm EK RAD and a 240mm x 45mm EK rad, Dual D5's in EK dual D5 pump housing. So in total, 4 rads, 4 D5's and a metric ton of 140mm/120mm fans!
  7. I have about 6758436745 gallon bottles in my local grocery store, so no.... no issue here
  8. here you go sir. Just had to install a quick portable room a/c unit and im back now. IF OYU SEE ANYTHING I SHOULD ADJUST, PLEASE INFORM ME!! Also I said above i needed to set my E-Core voltage to 1.250, I was wrong, apparently its at 1.225! I just know that it defaults to something like 1.05v and during R23 repeat sessions, I would get a error and notice with hwinfo64 open activity on 1 of the ecores would drop right before it would error out, so I read on OCN that increasing that specific voltage might help, and it did. Also, this is what the water loop consists of.... EK 420 60mm rad, EK 240 45mm rad, lots of fans, and dual D5's in the dual D5 EK Pump housing. Flow is ridiculous. Just waiting for my EKWB FCWB for my 3090Ti to FREAKING SHIP!!! I havent had a GPU on air in 15years atleast!!! GPU loop is also its own loop with dual D5's in its own Dual D5 EK pump housing and a 420mm rad and a 240mm rad. Cooling in this case is pretty easy!
  9. yes sir, its 55x ALL CORE and 43x E-Core ALL CORE. This 12900KS is MILES AHEAD of my 12900k. In bios I have 1.350v set with LLC 5, which nets me 1.297v under R23 sustained load. Also, have to run E Core voltage to 1.250. My 12900k could do 1 core @ 55x but getting all core @ 55 was impossible due to the voltage that chip needed and even my highend watercooling couldnt do 1.45v load for that chip as instant 100c temps happened. This 12900KS is a breath of fresh air. 1.297v r23 stable all core 55x and 43x e-cores with 44x cache. Great CPU. Im not on that PC at the moment, but if you'd like ill be happy to post up any pics you want, jsut let me know what you want. It'll be a little later before I can do it, but i will.
  10. here is my MSI Unify X Z690 6800MT/s G.Skill DDR5 6400 OC settings and AIDA64 results. Certainly not breaking any records but stable and enjoyable.
  11. just an update. I bought the cheapest LGA 1700 cpu on amazon (G6900) for 42$ to practice the delid on so I dont ruin my KS chip. The G6900 just came in with my delid tool so I gave it a go. Was straight forward and i wasnt worried at all (prob cause this is a 42$ cpu and nothing ever goes wrong with the cheap ones!) im sure ill be extremely nervous when I do my sweet baby 12900KS! Here is a quick delid pic of a G6900 die. Looks like it also was soldered.
  12. yes sir, I saw that yesterday on techpowerups site. however at this rate, if they were to release one, it would more or less release to market at the same time as EK's and at this point ive waited 2 months for a damn block and ill take who ever releases first.
  13. we have alot of the same hardware so I like to see videos like what you do. Appreciate it!
  14. thank you for your reply and information provided. also sub'd to your youtube channel, watching vids now.
  15. i will be going direct die, hence this supercool block is direct die. Im confused with your answer sir. Are you saying a new frame mount in conjuction with this block would be a good coombo, or just stick with the stock ILM? I do want to say though, thank you for all your assistance so far. This forum is very helpful and to the point.
  16. do you think going with one of these new to market "contact frames" might be worth it for this block?
  17. damn, looks like mr fox didnt have a positive result from using this waterblock, and now hope im making the right decision. Just hope i see atleast a temp drop... 10c would be amazing, and im crossing my fingers for it. Im sure i wont take delivery of it for a few more weeks as its coming from WAYYYY ACROSS the big pond and still hasent shipped out yet. Once I delid this KS and get knee deep into this project, ill update this thread for sure. thanks again for all your help
  18. Any users here using the supercool direct die waterblock? I would like to hear your feedback and how the installation went, and how long it took to get into your hands from its country of origin. Im taking on this project for my 12900KS as im hoping to lower its temps some as im running 5.5GHz all core @ 1.351v (1.297v loaded) and temps while running CB R23 approach 90/91c on a few cores using really highend water. Im hoping this is the ticket to hopefully tame all cores to obtain atleast mid 80's. My CPU is stable with cores in the 80s but as soon as 90s approach, I get a core that drops. Anyone with any knowledge on this product please feel free to chime in! Thank you
  19. ordered the thermal grizzly conformal coating on amazon, THANKS for the heads up!
  20. I bought the rockit tool delid tool, it'll be here next week. and that conformal coating link would be great if I did this to like 57464 more cpus as that qty is huge, so I shall search for the other product you said. Thanks for the replies guys
  21. what do you all recommend me to use to cover over the few caps on the CPU so the liquid metal doesnt have a chance of shorting them out. DO I order liquid electrical tape, nail polish.... Im not sure what to buy!? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Just getting this 12900KS ready for the supercool direct die block.
  22. other then EK, anyone know of a FCWB coming out for this card sooner then mid july? Thank you in advanced
  23. certainly see some very familiar user names in here. Looks like a solid community.
