  1. p17800 was released to full F@H beck in February or March I think. All of the reports on that WU in the beta forum mirror what you're seeing. p17600 has a small number of atoms (36k), so it will be good on lower end GPUs, but high end GPUs will see reduced usage/ppd. Someone just reported the reduced ppd in the beta forum.
  2. Tough to say for sure, since there really haven't been announcements since last summer of which projects are going from beta->advanced, except for a few times in the beta testing thread for the project. There have been announcements when projects go to full FAH, but some of those projects pretty much went from closed beta to full FAH without really ever hitting advanced (aka open beta). p17600 was just released to beta. I'll swap back over to beta on a few GPUs, and see if I see the same thing, I'll be sure and report it.
  3. I'll clean it up a bit, and verify which flags are still relevant/working before posting.
  4. I've been lucky with lockdowns and quarantines. I live out in the sticks, and if I'm not at work, working on one of my vehicles, or messing around with all my machines, I spend my free time out in the back-country. My life didn't really change once we went on lock down. I only have one semi-regret, and that is that I backed out of buying a 1999 2.5 RS coupe for my rally build. The guy was laid off from the lockdown, and just needed cash quick for rent and bills. I didn't feel right buying the car for 2k, when it was worth at least 3x that. I was the first one to call and go look at the car; I ended up hooking him up with a job, and he was able to keep the car. Happy ending for him, but now I'm on the hunt once again to get something to run next season.
  5. That will work for setting a different team in the slot options. You can set team, user, and passkey to different values for each slot. Right now one of my machines looks something like this: <config> <!-- Folding Core --> <checkpoint v='10'/> <!-- Folding Slot Configuration --> <gpu v='false'/> <smp v='false'/> <!-- HTTP Server --> <allow v='0.0.0.0/0,127.0.0.1'/> <!-- Logging --> <verbosity v='5'/> <!-- Network --> <proxy v=':8080'/> <!-- Remote Command Server --> <command-allow-no-pass v='0.0.0.0/0,127.0.0.1'/> <!-- Slot Control --> <pause-on-battery v='false'/> <power v='full'/> <!-- User Information --> <passkey v='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'/> <team v='239902'/> <user v='Q_Cruncher'/> <!-- Work Unit Control --> <next-unit-percentage v='98'/> <!-- Folding Slots --> <slot id='1' type='GPU'> <passkey v='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'/> <team v='37726'/> <user v='TickTock99'/> </slot> <slot id='0' type='GPU'> <passkey v='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'/> <team v='37726'/> <user v='TickTock99'/> </slot> <slot id='2' type='GPU'> <passkey v='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'/> <team v='37726'/> <user v='TickTock99'/> <client-type v='beta'/> </slot> <slot id='3' type='GPU'> <passkey v='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'/> </slot> </config>
  6. Nothing specific, just a day of driving around, and then four days backpacking.
  7. I use those for the boot partition on my laptop, and I've had them as the boot drive for my ESXi host. I haven't used the USB 3.0 or 3.1 versions yet, but the 2.0 versions have been pretty reliable.
  8. Took the STi out to the desert a few weeks ago. Still ripping at 229k miles.
  9. In addition to the various config options, there is also command line control for the client. Generally that is what I use to control local clients and clients over ssh. I have a bunch of commands aliased to things like pfold (pause) ffold (finish) and rfold (resume) for individual slots and for the whole client. Here are the command line options for anyone who was unaware and/or interested. FAHClient command line options:
  10. Working on a logo for TFA.
  11. I'll shoot ASRock a message. I was able to get a beta BIOS for my X399 Taichi with proper PCIe bifurcation a few months before they released the official BIOS with proper bifurcation options (x4x4x4x4; x4x4x8, x8x8, x4x4) for all the slots. Ultimately this machine will be running pretty much everything for my home. VM with GPU pass-through for my main TV Multiple testing VMs (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS Stream w/ and w/o GPU pass-through) Local mirror and build server for all my Arch boxes Build server for my Gentoo and Arch Pi's Containers or VMs for: NextCloud, lan-cache, unifi, VPN, matrix, irc, and cameras File and backup server running btrfs (48TB-RAID-10 and 8TB-RAID-1) Monitoring and Log server - TICK/TIG and possibly Prometheus Currently I am working through some bugs/regressions on ROCm, but once I get that ironed out, I will hopefully get this machine off the test bench and into it's new home. *EDIT* @AllenG You should send ASRock Rack a support message. http://event.asrockrack.com/tsd.asp There is a beta BIOS floating around with more bifurcation options. I haven't tested it yet.
  12. You can go with a Radeon VII for the testing. Not sure if that's what I'll stick with, but for now that will work.
  13. Looks like I'll take the AMD category. @BWG I'll let you know later today or tomorrow what GPU I'll be folding on for testing. Should we run our gear at stock for testing, or are we pretty confident with the offsets for the handicapping?
  14. I'll be running a 2080S TBD AMD GPU in Linux, but I'm pretty sure @Avacado is running Windows.
  15. No, most of the flags can be used regardless of the OS.
  16. When will we start? Do you need GPU and OS info in order to test the handicapping?
  17. Here's a list of all the options that can be set in the config. There are client options as well as individual slot options. F@H doesn't support manual edits of the config, but as long as you keep the formatting correct the config can be hand edited. Sometimes it is more or less a requirement, since GPU slot assignment tends to get all messed up once you have more than 2 GPUs in a system, especially if you are mixing NVIDIA and AMD. Some of the below options are either not valid or only supported on certain version of the F@H client. *Edit* The below options can be set using FAHControl or by manually editing (not recommended) the config. Here's a config from my 4x Radeon VII machine:
  18. It's been a few years since I had it running, so I honestly don't remember. I think it settled in at something like 2100MHz. It's a Seahawk EK, so it does have a higher power limit than most 1070s.
  19. It will be more like every other month. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get a card dialed in. ? I have a 2080S that is a decent clocker, but I have a few super good clocking cards that might just be what the doctor ordered for this comp. Best OC'ing GPUs I have are: Radeon VII, GTX 1070, GTX 980, R9 290, and an HD 7970.
  20. @axipher and @Avacado what are you planning on folding on? I have a bunch of GPUs, so I can fill in with whatever we need. Waiting to see the final breakdown on how the handicapping and points are going to work before I decide what to throw at the TC.
  21. I give a mean head pat, so add @axipher to the Foldaholics. With myself the mad deer and the Canuck, y'all should start preparing for your imminent destruction.
  22. Many of the better bins do seem to be going on RGB sticks. If they are B-die, you could pump some more voltage into them, and as long as you keep them relatively cool, you might be able to squeeze out a bit more performance if you can run DDR4-4000 with decent timings and 2000MHz fclk.
  23. I disable remove all the RGB on everything. Memory - Buy non-RGB sticks GPU - Remove and/or disconnect LED power GPU/CPU blocks - Remove and/or disconnect LEDs Motherboard - Disable all RGB in BIOS Fans - Buy non-LED fans, or remove LEDs from fans If I did want to have some case lighting (hasn't happened yet), then I would just go with LED strips and an independent controller.
  24. Windows Settings is still going to be a thing, so what exactly is this? Change the name and add some additional shortcuts. Even more amusing is the fact that now you have a shortcut to the "Control Panel" located inside the new "Administrative Tools" folder. ? Maybe this is just an incremental change along the road to actually having all the settings and tools in one place, instead of the split personality that has been going on since Windows 8.
  25. 55" Someday when I can actually buy a 6800/6900XT I'll be ready to go.
