The display in signature button took me a while to find, might need a better location or make it a tad bit more noticeable

You should add a slot for Thermal Compound

Hello all,
I am in the planning stages for Rig Creator. As you may guess, this will be the feature that allows you to input your owned Rigs into the site and will also allow them to show in your signature area. I am looking for thoughts on the component fields we should have available for filling out when creating a rig. Aside from the obvious CPU, Motherboard, RAM, PSU, Case Etc, what other items would you like to show off in you created rigs ?
Thanks all,
E
I'd really love to see some optional additions such as Sound Cards, Fans, Network Cards etc
Apart from that the standard, CPU, GPU, RAM, Mobo, PSU, Case, Storage, CPU cooler, monitor and peripherals would be what I expect to see -

If they wouldn't be working at PCIe 5.0 controllers I'd be shocked, we're expecting PCIe 5.0 will be present within the next 2-3 years, there are even rumors that AM5 might launch with PCIe 5.0 support, imho, 5.0 will probably come with 2nd or 3rd CPU gen on AM5.

Blimey, that is nice. I wonder at what point though you start to see diminishing returns. Those are seriously fast, but would you notice it in real world load times over the other Gen 4 NVMe drives.
We already see diminishing returns with gen 3 NVMe drives, gen 4 are more niche, there will be use for them in mainstream when storage streaming will properly develop for gaming, but we are at least 3-5 years away from that.

It would be cool to replace my 16TB drives with SSD's for the same price.
There's a big issue with that, you won't be writing a lot to PLC SSDs, already QLC isn't great for even casual users as you can completely realistically write them to their spec withing 2-3 years on a gaming PC that keeps multiple games like COD:MW up to date. As @axiphermentioned, they will be great for Read only environments, this kinda feels like CD-R type of storage

@ENTERPRISEcan you do something about the embedding? Otherwise we should just use a link to spreadsheet

Should have this puppy coming soon for review SXFI Theatre
Could become my daily driver if it measured up !
I know that I'm probably 2 weeks late, but the only somewhat decent wireless headset is HyperX Cloud II Wireless, the rest that I've tried are sounding like generic crap at 20eur price tag...

I've added KZ ZS10 PRO and CCA CST to my collection

About a week ago I bought KZ ZS10 PRO's and I've gotta say I love these IEM's especially with foam tips

I just bought this the other day: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07L6GF81L?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Seemed like a pretty good price/performance deal.
It's not a bad SSD, the only concern is that Toshiba NAND has some reliability issues, but if you back up your important information you shouldn't worry about it more than you usually would

@ENTERPRISEI'm guessing the new forum doesn't support the old google docs plugin?(check 1st post)

I could use a new chair :D

Crysis, like many other Crytek games, loves NVL/SLI-CFR...unfortunately, NVidia disabled CFR again with the latest drivers, afaik...worried about dual 2K RTX giving the 3K RTX a run for the money ?
The 3090 is not even a Titan and nVidia made it clear with drivers, so my guess is that it's not much more capable, so I'd guess that 3080 in SLI would probably be able to outpace the Ampere Titan, same reason why GTX 1060 6GB didn't have SLI capabilities, at under half the cost the same or better performance.

Mainly because I have to enable a bunch of scripts and canvas elements, and my Firefox install is pretty locked down.
Oh, well ok in that case makes sense.

When I do boot up my Linux side, I normally just use Google Chrome if I need to do anything that uses Google Services, otherwise I use a regular Chromium build for general browsing and as default browser.
Eww, chromium and Chrome. Personally I don't get the appeal of using a browser that lacks some basic features, sells your data and markets all of the google ads out of your experience.

Why don't you use Firefox for that as well?

Only benefit I can see is a larger heat soak, so it would take longer to fully heat up giving the drive a little longer to run at full speeds before thermal throttling, and its design is more friendly to a little bit of case airflow inline with the heatsink lengthways. As most M.2 SSD's installed in desktops are front to back, the air from a potential front intake or rear exhaust fan would create a slight airflow in that direction already.
I can confirm that these heatsinks are designed to soak as much heat as possible, that's generally the idea as even prosumers don't run their SSDs in full speed for over 20minutes at a time which is what this type of heatsink should handle even with poor airflow as many M.2 slots are under GPU or some other restricted air applications.

Wait does anybody not use Firefox on Linux?

Thank you all for your suggestions.
After looking at the fact we are going to be testing the RTX 3090 we have selected titles best suited towards the testing of this behemoth of a GPU our final selection is as follows. This should give us a great overview of what this card is capable of and we very much look forward to the final article.
3D Mark Suite
Control
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
Metro Exodus
Doom Eternal
Crysis Remastered
Crysis Original (For comparison against remastered )
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
Red Dead Redemption 2
Battlefield 5This should give us a great overview of what this card is capable of and we very much look forward to the final article.
I'd love to see Rainbow 6: Siege, but that will probably be covered by HuB or GN, so probably not an issue.

The best thing is they are FCC approved, so this should be fun... -
Now it seems to work

Quick reply shows, this field is necessary, but there is no field that could have an input, further investigation needed, maybe a browser glitch or something with packets.

ASUS today has seemingly confirmed platform support of AMD's A520 chipset for the upcoming Zen 3-based CPUs. An official ASUS slide showcases the A 520 covering the latest Renoir-based CPUs (Ryzen 4000G, based on Zen 2), alongside upcoming Cezanne (Ryzen 5000G, based on Zen 3), and Vermeer (Ryzen 4000 or 5000 series, based on Zen 3 with actual series nomenclature being up in the air).
The good news end there, as the same ASUS slide may have just dropped a bomb on consumer expectations for their current platform support. Initially, the AMD B450 and X470 chipsets weren't going to support Zen 3-based CPU solutions; however, following considerable community backlash, AMD made the decision to offer support for these platforms via a vendor-specific BIOS update. This update might entail curbed support for older AMD Zen architectures, but would at least allow for an upgrade path for users interested in keeping their AM4, current-gen motherboards. ASUS doesn't seem to be offering such Zen 3 support for its X470 and B450 motherboards, though. We will have to see if this is an ASUS-specific decision or if something is indeed afoot in the world of AMD future proofing.

This is great news for my X570 board in my UnRaid Home Server as well as building a new gaming rig on a B550 right now to still support new processors.
It would be strange if ASUS wouldn't have support as their daughter company ASmedia still needs to make all of the software optimizations, as other companies will be supporting those sockets
Actually now that I look at it, that slide is BS, Matisse has full support on 300 series boards. -
You seem to know more about it than I do.
Problems are not just lack of knowledge, but lack of conditions and equipment in which proper testing can be done.
I agree, but the main issue is, that it brings a lot of misconceptions to the mainstream market that I'd want to see eliminated, sadly up to this point I haven't found a reliable reviewer that would post all of the data.

Well at least it wasn't obvious at first, I created the rig before I went to sleep and after finishing it, I didn't even notice that there was an option to show it as a signature until this morning when I spent about 15minutes searching for it, might just be my barely functional sleep deprived head, but you should probably add a checkbox or something in rig creation phase
