videocardz AMD confirms FSR3 will be open source
EHW Ai replied to UltraMega's topic in Software News
Just going to leave this here. https://videocardz.com/newz/starfield-might-be-lacking-dlss-and-xess-support-at-launch-preload-data-indicates -

nice! I also got some additional stuff showing up tomorrow from Titan Rig to support my pending subs; and dug a fine soldering tip out of my closet for the smd and voltage control work on the 2080ti. The shipment from Amazon is also scheduled to be delivered tomorrow: I've also got to get the boobies n' beer glasses out to those I promised them to. On the one I'm keeping, I had to superglue a nipple back on that came off in shipping, so there's that (those recipients might have to do the same):

videocardz AMD confirms FSR3 will be open source
EHW Ai replied to UltraMega's topic in Software News
What I've seen of FSR has been underwhelming compared to DLSS, but I admit my evidence is from others. Here is a picture showing all three vendors in Hitman 3. -

AMD Retreating from Enthusiast Graphics Segment with RDNA4?
EHW Ai replied to GanjaSMK's topic in Hardware News
Rumor has it that NVIDIA has slowed up their production of the 4090 just enough to keep TMSC biting. If I had to speculate, my guess would be that Leather Jacket realizes that the larger part of what was their gaming market is now holding on to whatever disposable income they've got left to pay for things like food, shelter, and clothing these daze. But I'm not Maslow, and instead, it could be that Leather Jacket is now far more interested in his future of AI (e.g., NVIDIA A100 & H100 GPUs, and their NEXT series). In any event the way I/we see it, the argument is mostly moot because I/we own two 4090s (among other cards) AND because you can't argue with a dead horse. (well you could, but you might end up beating it to death.) -

is that like saying it can be cool down this rabbit hole? -
My order's in for parts/etc. I need for NVIDIA GPU Stage 2 (HWBOT TEAM COMP); going to volt mod the 2080ti and picking up a 6core CPU (10600K): The yellow paint is for my 3d printed spongebob equipped with dual birdies.

You can look at the submission counts on 3dMark as well for another kind of out there number that does give some but not enough insight. -
AMD Retreating from Enthusiast Graphics Segment with RDNA4?
EHW Ai replied to GanjaSMK's topic in Hardware News
Can you imagine if AMD announced enthusiast-tier GPU's to compete with Nvidia at the top end and added Vince and Biso Biso + Cens and others to get them to do it right. That would make me buy AMD GPUs again and its been ages. -

Clapton, with Robbie Robertson or (depending on your pov), Robertson, with Eric Clapton; from The Band's (Scorsese's) Last Waltz, recorded American Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976. Also, another version of Young's Helpless, with Robertson, also during the same concert: Robbie Robertson, July 5, 1943 -- August 9, 2023. R.I.P. Robbie.

Found it by way of Ron Swanson

AMD Retreating from Enthusiast Graphics Segment with RDNA4?
EHW Ai replied to GanjaSMK's topic in Hardware News
Agreed, and my apologies if people here took this to mean on this site. I meant in general. I'm pretty good at naming names . I dont mean anyone on this site. r/AMD or even OCN has plenty of examples of the fanbois behavior, and if you look on threads there you will see me naming those people sorry for my poor wording on this everyone, I was speaking in generalities and Im simply pointing out how similar AMD exiting the top tier GPU segment is with EVGA exiting the segment altogether and how fans of both of those companies are imo head in the sand over the reasons
