@speed_demon ...don't know if you know this channel or not, but you might get a kick out of it (never mind the H2 1000 Kawa 4 Cylinder 2 stroke as a sample below). He also built a bike with a Viper V10 - and a whole bunch in-between...I find this channel strangely relaxing in a gear-head sort of way...

Fascinating. The channel has some pretty entertaining videos on it I will definitely be adding a few to my watch later list.

Neat that worked better than I would have expected. The Lexus has a couple small dents I'd like to try and pull out at some point. Need to get the back bumper scratches fixed first though. And do something about the rusty trailer hitch... Seems like body work on a used car never ends.

Is the Kirkland brand roasted by starbucks?  Historically, I've used Starbucks French or Espresso roasts for a nice dark coffee.  Switched to Kirkland French Roast from Costco a while back and like it much more...and I brew it quite strong.

It depends on which specific kirkland coffee beans you buy. There is one that is roasted by starbucks and the rest are not stated who roasts them (I assume not SB or they would say so).

This one is pretty good and the same price/lb as all the other kirkland offerings. Cheaper than maxwell house too! Hard to beat.

Have you or are you gonna get the new remaster? Any good?

I do plan to get the remaster after this one. All of my buddies are raving over it figured i'd see what they're so excited about next. The trailer for it looks pretty darn good too.

Well, had to remove basically the entire front end to properly secure the lower front rad hose but at least it's done properly now.

Your rockers are super clean! Not a speck of rust. I saw an S2K the other day that was all hacked up and sadly not all of these cars are getting well taken care of these days.

Saw an S14 240sx the other day too, was ziptied together and slammed. Bet it's still worth 18K even in that condition. Shame I sold all three of mine...

Also, when it did an MOT in October, the handbrake barely passed. I tested it out by trying to do a handbrake turn and now it doesn't work at all now for some reason.

I'm guessing and hoping something is seized rather than being completely broken. Seized is "easy" to fix. Replacing parts is also "easy" but that costs money.

Glad you got your lug nut issue sorted out. Speaking of which you haven't got any.

I'm only on Win11 because of my last GPU setup. 11 was the only reliable way to get AFMF from a 6500XT w/ rendering from a Vega.

I know I have a 'dirty install' @ this point and had intended to do a clean single-OS reinstall after my old new case comes in.

If you need Windows-compatibility, I highly-recommend Win10 Ent IoT LTSC. -It's what I'll be going back to, now that I'm on a single-card (again).

Mainstream support until January 12, 2027 and extended support until January 13, 2032.

I was going to say I run windows 10 LTSC and it has been five years of seamless buttery smooth OS. Never had so much as a hiccup in games and I love that it allows me to control what windows updates the machine gets. Closest thing we have to a win 7 pro successor.

Are you, me?!  (aside from committing the sin, of gaming w/ a Wireless Mouse 😛)

Me: Right Handed - 'hybrid' claw-palm grip - (MU0053) G MX518 Legend, currently - OG MX518 is my absolute timeless favorite.
I still have mine and my Dad's worn-out OG MX518s 'kicking around'. IIRC, I have replacement microswitches for them too.

The Logi G MX518 Legend (the new one) is an acceptable substitute but, I can't help but feel like there was something 'lower latency' and more accurate about the oldskool MX518.

In a (gaming) mouse, one needs simplicity, responsiveness, and accuracy.

TBQH, I'm really quite irritated at all the 'tech' they cram in mice. Especially for gaming, Mice should be amongst the simplest imaging devices in Sol.

I've not been able to find any mouse (since the OG MX518) that allows *me* 'pixel precision'. The closest I've gotten was bottoming out Windows' mouse sens. + in-game mouse sens., and running (basically) max DPI on the MX518 Legend. Even then, I swear I'm getting intermittent 'tracking errors'. Yes, I clean the sensor's lens/hole out w/ a Q-tip fairly regularly.

I honestly suspect EMI* and/or USBhost issues. (like, being plugged into the 'wrong' USB port, and not realizing it.)

*Where I live, any length of unshielded wire (in open air, connected to something or not), picks up 3-15+VAC, dependent on length and orientation. Sadly, I don't have an osscope to 'see' the waveform.

do have 1st-hand experience w/ what (super)imposed waveform (and voltage) can do to HIDs on a PC:

My Dad's HDTV-Monitor's PSU failed, and sent half-rectified(?) mains current (60VAC measured, using old HP RMS DMM) into his PC's chassis.

Amazingly, it didn't kill anything. However, 'odd behavior' and lots of HID input errors were occurring before the TV was *clearly* showing signs of failure.

(Ended up replacing his HDTV-Monitor w/ a newer Samsung, ordered PSU for TV off fleabay, removed back cover off TV, replaced PSU module, and that 6+yearold 50" Changhong 1080p, continues to serves as my secondary display, today)

I've got an original logitech G5 I bought new from Newegg circa 2005 and it is indeed lower latency than the new MX518. A large part of the appeal of these specific mice to me is the shape as they have a nice solid feel in the hand. That and of course they are as good as it gets 😉

My wireless mouse is a logitech G603 and I bought it specifically to control an android TV box over bluetooth. It's got dual mode you can select either BT or opt to use the fancy lightspeed low latency receiver. Ended up getting a new android TV box and no longer need it for that use so I've been using it via the little dongle on my main desktop and it's a solid contender and holds its own against the mx518 even while being wireless. Similar body shape and size as well.

  8. Bit late to the party but I like a nice cup of coffee every once in a while. I usually opt for the costco stuff roasted by starbucks as it's fairly strong with a nice flavor. No sugar or milk for me, the sweetness ruins the good flavor IMO.

Not too big on tea but I've had a few that were pretty good. The standard lipton tea with a bit of lemon added is not too bad. 🤔

Sadly I'm hooked on the sugary soda drinks and that's my regular each morning. Been cutting way back, am down to a 2 liter every 3 days. Down from a 2 liter every 8 hours originally lol.

  9. Didn't see one of these created yet so I made one. Am also curious to know what your mouse grip style is? And what mouse is your main one?

I have a hybrid claw type grip because I got used to a mouse on a logitech G5 and that's generally the best grip on those. I'm a bit of a die hard cord guy in that I like the simplicity of a wired mouse, notably the new MX518 is a rather good wired mouse and I love mine. Although I did cross over to the dark side and buy a wireless gaming mouse and I do quite like it.

  10. I'm a bit late to the party here but I assure you I fit in quite similarly to the general discussion.

My skeleton is pretty rough and I've got pain from just about every region of the body. Had an accident on a trampoline when I was 12 and caused some severe damage to my spine and neck. I've got missing ligaments in both legs so my range of motion is way beyond normal and unfortunately that makes it all the more easy to cause injuries. Both knees pop and click; sometimes giving out entirely with accompanying pain.

My lower back is a big issue for me and the pain is pretty severe. Can't sleep properly these days it hurts so much. Can barely sit let alone lie down. The only time it doesn't hurt is after a hot shower pointed at the lower back. Only trouble is my shower is on the second floor and climbing the stairs sometimes is a no-go. Back muscles lock up so tightly I can hardly twist to climb them.

One thing I didn't see mentioned is dental issues. I've got a condition where the bone in my jaw is disintegrating rapidly, on top of some extremely brittle teeth. And unfortunately I've been fighting tooth infections for the past two years as a result. Woke up one day and thought I was having a heart attack, turns out the infection had spread from my tooth. Skin on my upper torso was bright red and my jaw and right side neck muscles were incredibly painful and rock hard. Thankfully amoxicillin is my life saver. This is all incredibly painful and eating is now a big ordeal as I have to be careful not to cause further damage to my already brittle teeth.

I've got PTSD and a genetic heart defect as well. Currently in the process of applying for disability. It's all very new to me. From what I am told I have a fairly good chance at getting SSI so that's some relief.
