  1. Based on the reviews, it seems like everyone is getting crashes all the time. I wouldn't bother trying to tweak any hardware settings, but that's interesting that it made a difference in your case. Just gonna have to wait for some patches.
  2. Another one: Wildlands 10000% speed
  3. CPU makers are experimenting with alternative substrates to double clock speeds WWW.TECHSPOT.COM Diamond Foundry, which makes lab-grown synthetic diamonds in San Francisco, is leading the charge. The... Maybe this would make overclocking more meaningful again. Seems pretty interesting.
  4. Actually if you want to help me with the text/font, that would be pretty cool.
  5. Just an update on the Amazon stuff; Amazon has a system in place that makes it very easy to sell existing products/products their system recognizes via product codes, which obviously a custom gaming PC won't have. So what I have to do is create a brand, and that brand needs to appear on the product/packaging. So basically, I need to make some stickers with my branding/logo on them, then take pictures of that and upload them to amazon to be able to create a new brand. Good thing I already know how to make stickers. How many Anime girls do you guys think I should use?
  6. Just sold the AMD 7700/3070Ti system I had ready, for profit, to a local customer. Now I just have two left and those will be the ones I advertise on Amazon.
  7. Sounds like a bad mobo to me.
  8. Looks like I'm already approved for selling on Amazon. That was fast. Time to make some listings.
  9. Thanks! Just finished signing up for Amazon, should be live in 48 hours or so assuming my application goes through smoothly. Signing up for Newegg will be more complicated, I'm not sure if they allow sole proprietorships on their platform. Either way, I've got to imagine Amazon alone will be a lot better than Etsy for this sort of thing. This won't be my first time selling on Amazon, but it will be my first time selling products on Amazon; before covid I was an Amazon service seller and that worked out really well for me. Selling products will be a lot different I'm sure, but hopefully I can get some traction. Etsy does have an appeals process, and that's what they responded to today. They just said they won't reconsider and won't tell me why they banned me in the first place. So while I assume it's because I said I used to work at Digital Storm, I can only guess. I'm fairly certain if I said that on an ebay listing, it would not break any rules. I'm no expert, but I'd imagine if I had said I used to work at Google on an Etsy listing, that would have been fine. Either way, the one thing that's clear about Etsy is they have too many sellers right now and thus are very happy to get rid of some for very minor reasons. It's also entirely possible I just got too many fake orders and they decided my account was just too problematic. Since I was trying to sell PCs, the sale price was way higher than 99% of the stuff Etsy caters to so it's totally possible they just didn't want to keep dealing with $1000+ fake transactions that they presumably have to spend time dealing with.
  10. Just an update on the Etsy stuff. They did indeed perma ban me, and they won't tell me why. Seems to be a common occurrence with Etsy. My only guess is that it's because I said I used to work at digital storm on my listing, or just that I got so many fake orders that they decided to just ban me as an easy fix. Etsys means of handing stuff like this is shockingly bad, but it is what it is.
  11. If it doesn't go up high enough, I can just cancel it. Really just an experiment to see what one would bid up to. Right now I just need to do the applications for Amazon and Newegg, which requires me to get some other things in order as far as licenses and tax info, so it's a process but I'm workin on it.
  12. Currently bid up to $500, about 30 watchers and a 3 days left.
  13. I do have one listed on ebay right now as an auction.
  14. Maybe it's just my phone, but these charts are not very visable for me.
  15. I did setup the store function on my local computer repair website, but that's only local so I don't really expect it to get used. My next step will be to sign up for Amazon and Newegg as a seller, and try selling PCs from there. Should be doable, just waiting on some paperwork to come in the mail before I can try. It's not 100% for sure a perma ban yet, I am waiting for them to reply to my appeal which takes a long time apparently, but I'm not hopeful based on what I've read about it. Etsy seems like a pretty terrible platform when it comes to customer support in general, and there are better places to sell PCs, Etsy was just an easy place to get started. If anything, I'm actually glad it motivated me to move on to bigger selling sites. It is a bummer the way Etsy handles this kind of thing. I've never felt so disrespected by a business before. They're clearly over-saturated with sellers and very ban happy because of it.
  16. I sort of doubt there will be a 4070 TI super and a 4070 super, but the notion of a 16GB 4070 tier card should really be their main goal. If they can get a reasonably priced 16GB card out, it will really close the gap in their line-up that AMD is pushing through. If they refresh the 4080 without giving it more ram, they might as well not even do it (but it sounds like they're going to anyway). It would be great to see a price competitive 16GB card from Nvidia, then we could start seeing some real pricing competition from both parties rather than it being just DLSS type features and skimpy ram vs non-skimpy ram.
  17. Maybe you're right but IMO if they refresh some cards without giving them more ram, that would seem kinda pointless.
  18. I think a 16GB 4070 refresh and a 20GB 4080 refresh are very likely what we'll get. But will it price correct? Maybe the 4070 will be competitive, but I don't see the 4080 dropping to a reasonable price.
  19. Now that your back into windows, after you update your bios you should run some stability tests. I like to run prime95 or CPUz stress and furmark at the same time.
  20. So, it looks like the Etsy part of this whole experiment is over, at least for now, seeing as I just got banned on Etsy. Yesterday I spent some time trying to improve my Etsy listings and after looking at other listings that seem to be getting traction, I figured I needed to add some text that was basically a "why buy from me" statement. Seeing other listing doing this, I tried to do the same thing and I mentioned in my listings that I used to work as a manager at Digital Storm. Less than 24 hours later, I got banned with no warning and no reason given for the ban. Etsy deals with a lot of IP theft and I get that they are very cut throat about it when the product being sold is infringing on IP, but the mere mention of a previous work experience seemed like fair game for Etsy to me buy I guess I was wrong. I did think to myself, perhaps mentioning another company even as work experience might be problematic, but I figured if it was I would get some kind of notice instead of a total ban. After looking into this, it seems Etsy has gained a ton of seller in the last year or so, probably due to so many people looking for extra ways to make money from home ever since the pandemic. They're over saturated with sellers and are very happy to get rid of them. In total I sold 3 PCs on Etsy and got another 12 fake orders from people using bad payment methods and trying to get me to ship before payment failed to clear, which I of course never fell for. So while this is pretty annoying, Etsy wasn't working as well as I'd hoped anyway, which isn't too surprising as gaming PCs are really not the kind of thing that does well on Etsy anyway. I just renewed my business license, and I plan to try to become a seller on Newegg and Amazon if possible as soon as my license comes in the mail, so maybe I will still find an avenue for this eventually. For now, this is basically on hold. If anyone is interested in one of the three PCs I still have, let me know. Just going to be selling them at cost for now and try again if and when I get signed up for Newegg and Amazon. I've got a 5700X/3060 12GB, a 5700X 3070, and an AMD 7700 3070Ti currently available. The highest tier one would be like $900 at cost, plus shipping. I know probably no one here is interested, but just figured I'd mention it.
  21. No surprise really. Sort of surprised they didn't do this sooner. Will be really interesting to see what comes from this.
