  1. I thought I was the biggest stoner here. Clearly I was wrong. From Need For Speed Unleashed: Am I the only one know knows how to share spotify links or what? It's 2023 guys.
  2. Looks like the big wigs didn't reply, but that's OK, I know what the people want. (incase it's not clear, this is a joke)
  3. Nintendo Switch 2 Leak Hints at Advantage Over Xbox Series S GAMERANT.COM A newly surfaced report claims that the Nintendo Switch 2 might have at least one circumstantial hardware... Sounds like the switch 2 could easily slot between the series S and series X. With DLSS, it may even have an advantage. Also sounds like Nintendo will be able to market all the switch games as being DLSS upscaled on switch 2.
  4. Yea I wouldn't call the color filter remover a mod either. More like a fix. I'm getting pretty sucked in to the game and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface.
  5. @ENTERPRISE Any thoughts on this? Happy to add a mouse pad.
  6. Yea it got removed because I guess I didn't go through the rights checks on the site but I uploaded it to the post above.
  7. Oh, I thought there was a mousepad. There was one in the designs, but I guess it didn't make the final cut. Happy to help with a mousepad design if that's what people want.
  8. I did not design the mouse pad logo. I didn't really design any of the final products, I just made edits to existing designs to make them work for the merch.
  9. It seems to be broken in HDR and SDR. Some combination of terrible color filters and very bad HDR support. It's mindboggling to me that this passed QA. There are a lot of mods popping up aiming to fix the HDR issues but none of them seem to have clear instructions to get them to work yet, or at least I haven't been able to. There is a mod that removes/tones down a lot of the color filtering. This mod will improve over time, and the dev says for now it's more of a sledgehammer approach. I just got it to work and it looks way better IMO. The instructions on the mod page didn't work for me tho, but I was able to figure it out after reading through some posts and I made a simple download for it. This will work on the game pass version and I suspect the steam version as well, but I cannot verify the steam version. Mod page: Neutral LUTs - No Color Filters WWW.NEXUSMODS.COM Removes the color filters from the game, making the colors more uniformly neutral with deeper blacks. 10. Seems that HDR is broken on PC. Starfield HDR Functionality Is Broken On PC & Xbox Series X|S - TwistedVoxel TWISTEDVOXEL.COM It appears that HDR functionality is not working as intended in the Xbox Series X|S and PC versions of Bethesda Game... I was thinking Atlantis looks really bad, the color all seems off and it makes the lighting look weird. This is probably why.
  11. Benchmarks are out. Not much to talk about. The 7800XT sits right between the RX6800XT and the 6900XT. The 7700XT sits right above the RX6800.
  12. fairly often, mostly for boss battles. It's easy to play for a while without changing the mech, but once you hit wall you might have to change your mech you 5+ times or so to get past the wall. I haven't tried playing with the mouse and keyboard because I grew up playing these games on PS2 and I just want to use the controller for nostalgia if nothing else, but I've heard the PC controls work very well. Playing with the controller is definitely hard because it forces you to press more buttons to keep up with the combat than a game typically would. I don't mean like fast button presses, but constantly using all 4 shoulder buttons and the R3 and L3 buttons can be harder than it sounds, at least for me. I end up pressing the R3 and L3 buttons on accident because my grip is just too tight while trying to manage all 4 shoulder buttons in fast combat. I wish common game controllers like the xbox controller came in larger sizes, that would totally solve my issue. AC6 is a lot of fun and I think anyone who has played an AC game before will be very happy with it. That said, while it is a well polished game, it's clear FromSoft didn't put the same level of effort into this game as they would with something like Elden Ring. Perhaps because this is the first AC game in a long time, they didn't know how well it would sell. It doesn't feel lacking, it just feels like a smaller project. I hope this is just the beginning for a new era of AC games. There is so much potential to build on what AC6 does. I'd love to see an AC game that wasn't held down by PS4 era hardware.
  13. My phone is $200. I've never spent as much as any of the phones listed, and probably never will. There is no reason to spend more. Apple isn't the only maker of expensive phones, just the only one that only makes expensive phones. I wouldn't hold Samsung in high regard either. I'm not trying to get into an android vs apple debate tho, but I'll add that IMO, a reasonable price for a phone is $150-$300. I think anyone here would be hard pressed to list anything a more expensive phone can do beyond just hitting higher benchmark scores that actually justifies spending more.
  14. I don't have any of the problems you describe with my android phone at all. Maybe don't buy a One Plus android phone in the future. "as you mature" get out of here with that BS. You're also completely ignoring the biggest factor with Apple, which is the price. You are right that its a simple choice when you buy an iPhone, all the options are equally over priced and underfeatured. As I've matured, I've gotten less likely to waste money which is why I don't buy any Apple products.
  15. Armored Core 6 has me pausing to avoid blisters. Swearing at the screen, but having a great time. Doesn't have the same music vibe of old tho.
  16. I guess when I say "into tech", I mean like the way people on sites like this are. People who have a decent understanding of the hardware to the point that they are able to judge the raw specs for themselves. Apple cultists don't fall into that category generally speaking since they don't have a technical understanding, just a strong preference.
  17. The Starfield MetaCritic scores are in, and it's looking very good | GamesRadar+ WWW.GAMESRADAR.COM Starfield is currently up there with some of the best games of 2023 Starfield Critic Reviews for PC - Metacritic WWW.METACRITIC.COM Starfield for PC game reviews & Metacritic score: Starfield is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next... I figure this is a big enough deal to make a news thread about it. Probably one of the biggest game releases we will see for a while.
  18. I have nothing against Apple. They make decent products for people who are less familiar with tech and have spare money to burn. I just think it's silly to give them any praise on a tech site. They're like the Gucci of phones. Expensive status symbol that works as well as any other device. It does seem silly from my perspective that anyone who is into tech would use Apple today. I have a 512GB microSD card in my phone and a bunch of emulators and games on my ~$200 phone (LG Velvet 5G). Those things seem pretty basic to me, but impossible on an iPhone. It's one thing if it's just a phone and little more to the user, but I have a hard time understanding how anyone into tech doesn't see through the smoke and mirrors. More than anything else, Apple sells storage at a huge premium.
  19. Leaked spec sheet reveals cableless GPU power connectors targeting over 600W WWW.TECHSPOT.COM Trusted leaker Momono has posted a spec sheet for installing graphics cards without power cables. The design... Seems like a good idea.
  20. You mean like a microSD port? Or NFC? Apple was first to remove the headphone jack tho, so credit where credit is due. IMO apple doesn't innovate at all anymore. They just take existing tech and refine it a little, then charge more than anyone else does. Any tech company could do what Apple does, but only Apple has successfully turned a hardware brand into a glorified status symbol for flossy people.
  21. I try not to use videos as news, but for something like this is makes sense.
  22. IMO the reason we have such weird naming this gen on the upper end is because AMD and Nvidia didn't want to stop selling last gen cards as the mid range option until stock piles cleared out. That's why Nvidia did the whole 4080 12GB thing at first, and it's why AMD named the 7900xt and xtx the way they did.
