Sir Beregond's post in Mixing different revisions of the same RAM? was marked as the answer
I would maybe try easy path first and if that second set is same XMP frequency, same timings, at same voltage, hopefully works with your existing set and you can call it a day. If that doesn't, then send it back and probably find a 64GB kit.

Sir Beregond's post in Help with motherboard socket cover was marked as the answer
LGA socket covers just snap back onto the retention mechanism. They will pop off if you close the retention mechanism with a CPU installed. They are literally just for protecting the pins when no CPU is present in the socket. I am not sure how it helps with "alignment" - the CPU can only go in one way due to notches in the socket/CPU.

Sir Beregond's post in Needing link for Tygon was marked as the answer
I don't think that Tygon is 3/8" ID 5/8" OD. A 1/8 of an inch wall would equate to 3.175mm, closer to the Mayhems reading.

Sir Beregond's post in 5950x for new build or wait? was marked as the answer
Well if you are looking more for deals and don't have to be on the latest and greatest, then yeah both 12th gen and Zen 3 parts should be found at pretty good prices these days. I haven't been tracking 12th gen pricing, but do recall the CPUs as being competitive, and Zen 3 can be had well below MSRP. The cost with 12th gen will be the new motherboard and DDR5...which will also be true with Zen 4 / AM5 when it launches.
GPUs on the other hand are only now starting to hit their MSRPs...almost 2 years after they launched with rumors of the new ones as early as this summer or into September. So up to you there.
