    It's just the usual parade of various aperture lens flares and-or folks not understanding how FLIR cameras work. These folks usually lack experience and-or aptitude to properly record then stand in awe of their own inexperience. In some of these cases the context was conveniently stripped away for an attention grab. In a few of these it's obviously just the FLIR gimbal tracking slow moving birds and other times it's just tracking a plane. Also, if they would stop looking at or even turn-off their FLIR and just look at it, they would see it's generally nothing abnormal at all.

    I figure it was more to do with decreasing manufacturing and support costs of low-end and mid-range cards for a feature very, very rarely used in those segments. The users who did multi-GPU tended to be in the high-end and enthusiast market segments, which where more then capable and willing to buy better performing hardware if available. Usually those that wanted better performance from then their low-end and mid-range products just upgraded to better performing products.

    Yeah, we will have to wait and see. However, it should help get future SKU with new IDs more into the hands of consumers who want to use them for games and other applications over the coming months.

    That is what they are essentially doing with this. It allows them make cards with less parts and probably with parts that would not qualify to be used in gaming, professional, or enterprise products however are more then good-enough for cryptocurrency mining.

    These solutions need to be incorporated into the hardware itself in future revisions and releases or folks will just hack around the driver restrictions for cryptocurrency mining. Also, it's good they are offering specific cryptocurrency mining hardware, which might appeal more to those crowds.

    I have been eyeing Newegg Shuffles, but nothing I actually want has shown up in one yet.

    I am having the same issues with Best Buy, had the 3090 FE / STRIX OC in my cart, and cannot complete checkout cause of availability option issues. I talked with Best Buy and their entire high-demand queue system is just an extra time-delayed button, it seemingly doesn't temporarily reserve any items, and it's still just a mad-dash to the finish line against who knows how many bots and potential buyers. It just causes unnecessary additional confusion and frustration for potential buyers.

    Yeah, multi-GPU via driver is essentially dead now. It's up to developers and engineers to implement multi-GPU support as needed via newer Vulkan/DirectX APIs.

    I found it very nice when it's the demanding games you play that support it. Generally games that did not support it, did not really need it. I am still utilizing Titan X Pascals until I can get something better.

    Agreed. I was hoping the new AMD cards would have better RT performance. I am still waiting to get a RTX 3090. I was hoping the RX 6000 series would reduce some of the demand on the RTX 30 series, but that didn't seem to pan out.

    Looks impressive from the first-party slides, but going to wait and see how these actually stack up in the third-party reviews.

    Also, an OCN migrant. I like the overall presentation of this site better and it's not filled with ads. Looking forward to what comes next.
