  1. ENTERPRISE's post in How to fix drive ntfs permissions in powershell or cmd? was marked as the answer
Looks like subst.exe is related to the below and it is possible that either you have typed in a path incorrectly, or there is an issue with Subst on your OS. If that is the case then I would suggest doing a Windows File Repair and trying again.

    subst | Microsoft Learn
LEARN.MICROSOFT.COM Reference article for the subst command, which associates a path with a drive letter.
Failing that you may also want to try :
Resetting NTFS files permission in Windows – Graphical Utility – lallous' lab
LALLOUSLAB.NET Update 04/30/2017: New version 1.2.0 released with Unicode support and lots of bug fixes! Download the reset permission tool from the download section below.  The post entitled “Resetting NTFS file…
Looks like a graphical interface for achieving the same results, at least on the surface. I would also look into Medicat to see if that tool has a tool for restoring NTFS file permissions.

This should now be resolved. Simple permissions issue, your usergroup was not part of the allowed users 🙂

Unsure if this is a bug or a config issue. However unfortunately the developer of the Marketplace is no longer available and is no longer compatible with the forum platform software, so I have had to disable it completely. So until further notice the Marketplace is closed. I have made contact with the developer and will wait to hear back from them.

Glad you are making progress. I thought it might be XMP with respects to pushing speeds that the CPU wasn't going to cope with. Fingers crossed you get to the 12 hour mark and you can call it a day.

Awards issued to all participants 🙂 If you feel I have missed you, please send me a PM.

Regarding anyone struggling to send a PM, looks like this can be a result of old cache of browser level issues such as blocking plugins. Please consider clearing cache and trying a vanilla browser to send your PM 🙂

    Many thanks,

  6. ENTERPRISE's post in ...and it's not even a full-fledged 4090! was marked as the answer
Ahh, well to be fair, the proceeds are going to charity so that is cool, at least it is not going directly into the pocket of someone who should not technically be selling this GPU. If I had the cash, I would be tempted. Would be good for folding lol.
  7. ENTERPRISE's post in Need some help convincing an "amateur" overclocker that degredation is not happening on his brand new 13900K was marked as the answer
Going from past and current Overclocking experiences, CPU degradation happens over a LONG period of time. The only time you will quickly damage the CPU is if you push an insane voltage through it, and I mean insane in order to murder it instantly/quickly. You can get degradation (like any hardware) if you run a CPU over its recommended V-core/Other voltage specs, but this happen over a very long period of time.

No way would CPU degradation be achieved through your friends scenario. The boot issues is due to the wrong OC settings from either CPU or Memory.  This is the silicon lottery, you can get anything to boot once on a dodgy voltage if you are lucky, but may never boot again at the voltage, that is just luck of the draw and poor OC settings, not a damaged CPU. The 13th gen is not any different from any other CPU so far as fragility. You have to treat it a little differently so far as Overclocking it successfully, but that is it. It will not die just looking at it haha.
  8. ENTERPRISE's post in Modern computer cases are going to hell was marked as the answer
While what makes a case good is subjective, I feel that the majority of cases are good and sensible. I think the ones where you go "What were you thinking" are mostly the minority.

Don't get me wrong though, there are some whack cases out there.
  9. ENTERPRISE's post in Unread Item Page Missing ( Mark site Read ) On mobile? was marked as the answer
From what I can see, it is not available on mobile. Looks like a by design sort of thing. So this is does not look to be a bug.  I will see if this can be something we can add on mobile with custom dev. However this will be put on a wish list type thing for when resources become available as this is not a priority item :)

No problems bud, like I say, I get why it could be confusing!
  11. ENTERPRISE's post in Site logs me out when reading reviews was marked as the answer
This is now resolved as the login button has been removed, fingers crossed there will no longer be any confusion 🙂
  12. ENTERPRISE's post in Issues with video posts in video section. was marked as the answer
After speaking with the developer of the application, it seems that YT have changed some criteria. I have been told they will update the app, not sure on an ETA. However for now we will have to use the video share links as detailed in this post :

    Thanks,

  13. ENTERPRISE's post in Do or don't, B350 vs B550 was marked as the answer
Reading your post the benefits to upgrading are:

    1. PCIe 4
    2. Extra NVMe
    3. Future CPU pathway.

It sounds like you have a nicely tuned system as it is and you are not having any issues with it. Unless you really want or need any of the above 3 points, I would not upgrade.

I mean the upgrade is relatively cheap but you have to factor in time to re-tune the system as well. Not always just about the cost in $.

I would personally leave it. Your only missed benefit is PCIe 4, but unless you are needing faster NVMe drives, there is no point. GPU,s do not really benefit from PCIe 4 yet in and meaningful way.
