  2. For many years, The Overclock.net Team Competition was the main event for serious and competitive folders who wanted to test their overclocking and folding skills. At one point, the event had over 100 folders on over 20 teams all folding close to 24/7. It was a staple event that ran all year, every day, and every month. It used to be an event dominated by who spent the most money, or who had the top PPD cards folding in a Category, but that's a thing of the past! You can be competitive with ANY ELIGIBLE HARDWARE IN THIS EVENT! In our test runs, a GTX 960 dominated the overall event, and not to brag, but it was mine! (Yes, I rigged this event for me to win - NOT!) The old event fell apart for various reasons, and we've picked up the pieces, started a new stats website from scratch, came up with some new rules for the event, and after a ton of work, the event will officially launch on August 1st! A special thanks to: Now is the time to get your hardware ready, get your teams formed, find your teammates to join your team, and get in on this competitive folding fun! Teams need to be setup and in the stats tracking system by July 31st to have the best shot at being competitive in this event. The event rules and details can be found in The ETF Manual. Be sure to read this manual carefully and follow the event rules so you do not penalize your team. Also, the event has it's own section on the forum found here which houses the manual and team threads. For the first month, we're going to be giving away some special prizes to the winning team, category winners, and a few randomly drawn prizes for participants. .................................................................................................................................. So please be sure to enter in a shipping address where you can accept the package. By filling out the form you are accepting the sites Terms & Conditions alongside all Rules/Important notes as details at the bottom of this post. You must be participating in the event and folding on August 1. You must fold all month, but special consideration of up to 1 day less (30 of 31 days) will be given for those who have downtime due to hardware issues. You must sign up to ExtremeHW Rules/Important Notes Each entrant is only eligible to win one prize. 3. Sounds like a lot of work ahead for you! I kinda knew what was up with you, but tictoc mentioned switching things around possibly. We're going live in July for sure though. I'm going to work on my draft post now.
  4. Whatcha guys working on with your hardware? What all were you testing @tictocto use in the event?
  5. Man, @damricis tearing it up! Are you still on the RX580? What kind of OC do you have on it? I think that advanced flag really shot you up!
  6. inb4 zodac says he is not the boss. Although, he's a way better boss than I have ever been. It's one of those situations where I'd be taking it to the team captains to decide on whether we would just use LARS all os, windows, test fold stock and track, or if even 1 captain opposes it, disallow. @tictoc @Supercrumpet what do you guys think about allowing it? I'm not opposed, and I would want 7 solid days of stock folding to derive the average myself.
  7. 1080tis are 40 and 41 C but the active 1070 is at 50C and before them in the loop. Little strange. I'll have the 1st 1070 up tomorrow when my m.2 riser plug arrives to compare. It was low 40's in my lanboy loop. That Lanboy has the 3070 on the wood bench because it won't fit in the case lol. 2x 240 for only the 1700x right now. I'm going to just ditch that case and put it on the other Spotswood bench eventually.
  8. I have m.2 x16 riser plugs coming to use on the 1070's. I can only use 1 x1 pci-e plug when all 3 x16 slots are occupied. So, 1 is down right now, but I think these will work better than x1 riser boards anyway. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08X2JGDXH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have 3 m.2 slots that are occupied, but I'll sacrifice some drive speed if it folds better with them.
  9. Getting the rest of the air out.
  10. Look at how spot on these custom fabbed ribbon holders are. I didn't even have to adjust them @Spotswood. Lined right up.
  11. I deleted damrics slot, re-added it, added the advanced flag, and eventually it did pull a unit. I also confirmed he's a cheater because his 2 other rigs were folding on his ETF passkey lol.
  12. Uh @Sgt_Swannyyour work units on the stats site look a little dazed and confused man Sgt-Swanny 4 2 0
  13. Is that a little shredded GPU on top?
  14. Yeah, and I even have a fan on high blowing at it. Freight called, a/c tomorrow. I still need the vacuum pump to finish though. I bought one for this and to aide me in fixing a line leak in my Audi.
  15. I think a good follow-up to the above is this pic... I'm tapping out for a few hours at least. Hertz will still fold though.
  16. Alright, no big deal right now. I may edit the points just to test that new aspect of the site zodac was working on if it's ready by the 30th. I'll hit you up on Discord when I can tv again, but just keep em goin.
  17. So, I updated the Manual for the event. Take a look at it. So, uh, big day, or oops?
  18. He's been helping us with the ETF stats site. Hey, you should Discord more. We could chat live on there about super secret things that are cool. Your pool handled yet?
  19. You really underestimate me. We talk all of the time, and I knew he was going to smoke him earlier this week. Why are you so anti-BWG? I feel like all we do is argue like Brothers lol.
  20. @firedflyduh, how do you think he knows to mention his Moms 3080 lol
