  1. Similar to Flux I like outdoors. Grew up with motocross when I lived outside of the city. Honda, Kawasaki, back to Honda. When I was younger, I would ride every weekend. Typically just trail riding or mucking about in the farm fields. Would definitly kayak more if I were close to a lake or had property by a lake. Maybe when I am older For the past 10 years, I've been cycling. Hobby / recreational. I'm doing a charity ride soon (+200km). Riding a Specialized Tarmac, carbon wheels, carbon frame. It's stupid light. Longest ride I've done (back packing) was approx. 600km. Would like to do more cycling if possible. Last but not least, drumming as well. Mainly off for similar reasons. Noise is the big one XD. Pearl Vision VMX (Maple). Good intermediate / budget kit. Specs below 8", 10" , 12" toms 14 and 16 or 18" (I think 18") floor toms 22" kick DW3000 double kick pedals Zildjian A-Customs (kit) 14" + 18" crashes 20" ride 10" splash 14" Hi-hat I shared this photo last year as I replaced all the tom heads (skins). A drum dial and some moon gel is really all you need to make your drums sound good but I like playing with different heads for different sounds. If Flux's kit = ITX, mine is E-ATX
  2. Pretty slim as well here. Chrome. Some of these are legacy, can't be bothered to add/remove. Like RES / Tampermonkey. Sponsorblock sounds super interesting. I presume that it skips sponsorship segments within Youtube content? If so, that's amazing!
  3. Similarly, 3930K to 3800X. Then I did the swap to 5800X3D. No regrets.
  4. Because I’m a Nintendo fanboy. It came with a reversible sleeve. 2024 cover art on one side; 2004 cover art on the other, including Gamecube branding. Kinda cheeky. I can’t believe I bought the original game 20 years ago. It’s been a minute but it holds up really well. I love both the N64 original and TTYD. If you haven’t played it, give it a go if you enjoy RPGs. It’s one of Nintendo’s best games flat out.
  5. What a combo! Hope you enjoy the new BMW How far do you think you can get on a charge (highway) and what’s the recharge time from near zero to something manageable? Like if you’re out on the road and you get the low fuel / charge light.
  6. I mean, I understand by and large what he is referring to but I don't understand how it's relevant here. It's unprofessional AF. Generally speaking, some Eastern Europeans believe Westerns are snow flakes. That comes from living through soviet occupation, experiencing devastation from world wars, heck, literally right now Russia's attempt to occupy of Ukraine. So I presume that the Slovenian office treats some complaints from the US office as... superficial or non-issues. And I feel that's validated by the CEO's response. "We didn't know about it and if we knew, we would of taken actions". So does that makes it OK that nothing was done? Don't you think if there are issues, no matter if they're serious or not, that you're not accountable for a better communication system in your own company to ensure people who have issues, can safely flag them, escalate them, to have them addressed? Should you not support your employees, their managers to ensure when those issues come in, they are tracked and resolved? Someone might not report it, and that's definitely a valid issue but have you ever asked, why? If NO ONE is raising issues, you can't just presume everything is fine. What are you proactively doing to track and ensure employee safety? Anyway... mini rant over. You can tell the CEO shouldn't of taken this interview in the first 2mns. He's talking more about products and selling their presence at upcoming Computex than proposing solutions for the challenges raised. Just finished this one, will catch up on the next vid shortly.
  7. Looks fantastic; How's the performance on your rig? Random but why did they change the order of the title? First game is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Second game is Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Shouldn't it be Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga? Weird little observation.
  8. I believe that’s only applicable for the distribution of the ROMs. Per the article: “As with previous N64 decompilation projects like Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time, the reverse-engineered PC code doesn’t include any copyrighted image visual or audio files. Players will have to provide their own valid ROM file containing those assets for the port to work.” ”Should” be OK
  9. Lawyers won’t be able to touch Decompilation. Essentially it’s not the same source code. Not sure how it works with recompilation. There are a few good Ars Technia article on it from a few years back. I believe they mention it’s safe but I haven’t read them recently. Perfect Dark finally gets the full-featured PC port it deserves ARSTECHNICA.COM Decompilation project adds mouse-and-keyboard controls, upscaled graphics and more. Ocarina of Time has been fully decompiled into human-readable code ARSTECHNICA.COM Unspooled C code could eventually lead to PC ports, new mods, and more.
  10. There are a lot of titles that will be worth checking out on PC as these projects go into high gear. Banjoe Kazooie is dope but so is Tooie Perfect Dark is one my all time favourites and it never made it's way to PC. If they can get that + Goldeneye going with split screen or LAN... that will be a great time. Lots of other games to check out. Mario Party (1-3), Paper Mario... WWF No Mercy XD
  11. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice 4K, "Enriched" Mode (Series X) I dropped my Gamepass sub shortly after I got my Xbox, since I don't play enough. However, I like to scour the store for cheap games and I came across this. It's on sale for $3. Decided to give it a go on Xbox for a "short" cinematic single player experience. I've put about 3hrs into in one sitting. Maybe close to 50% complete judging what I've read online (6-8hr game). So far, having a good time. Playing it on the OLED but with wireless headphones to really dial into the psychosis (audio effects). Combat / Puzzle loop is a bit repetitive but if you consider the quality of the entire package, it's a great experience. Playing it on the "enriched mode" which is 4K native + ray tracing. Caveat is a console plebian 30fps but it's honestly not that bad for this type of game. The sequel, Senua's Saga launches tomorrow.
  12. For those following the community efforts to get more N64 ports on PC, there has been a big update to get games running better, with more features, with a fraction of the effort of the decompilation efforts. DF initial review of Zelda 64 (Majora’s Mask) Recompiled Version 1.0:
  13. Redneck way: Use a trail camera. Most take an SD card. If you can photo a deer jumping by, you can probably get a drunk driver smashing into your mail box. More professional: Contact a local, commercial physical security integrator. Ask for a wireless camera recommendation. The job won’t be worth the effort for a commercial contractor to give you a quote and you probably don’t want to spend for their install… but they may be able to give a quick recommendation over the phone if you explain the need.
  14. Played the demo last year. I knew then I would need to buy Sea of Stars but I held off until the physical release. First game I aim to complete in 2024 after my Balatro addiction… Approx. 3 hrs in. It’s on Steam for those interested. Essentially a new Chrono Trigger. JRPG with interesting characters, excellent art, music, and combat that isnt just spam attack. Sea of Stars on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the...
  15. I generally avoid PvP games and when I do play them, I prefer casual. I used to play a lot of BF (BC 1 & 2) and CS:GO. BF I preferred ranked (I don’t recall if those games would separate) but they uniquely were fun because of the team work required to win. The collective energy of squads completing tasks to overcome an objective is super satisfying for me. Since those days have passed and BF has been more focused on solo gameplay, I’ve diverted to PvE games. Killing Floor 1 & 2 and absolutely fantastic and probably one of the few shooters I am good at today. Suicidal is my default difficulty; Hell on Earth if I have a really solid team. I predominantly play Medic and as per KF gameplay mechanics, I can kite pretty well. Meaning I can string enemies along the map whilst I slowly recover health, ammo etc. If I sort by playtime, KF (1) leads with 286hrs. KF2 is my 5th most played game with 138hrs. Looking at this list reminds me how good Insurgency was… haven’t played that in years!
  16. Yes but is it the chicken or the egg? The developers / studios are responsible for those games, but they typically get their funding from their partners. Those partners (publishers, sponsors etc.) have their own goals ($). That's usually where the execs jump in, clarify the vision to help the publishers, investors etc. know how the money will come. As they're the ones that are accountable at the end of the day. And its up to them to communicate that to the developers so they can pitch their games and show how they will meet those objectives ($, engagement, quality etc.). An example: I'm fairly confident the majority of the developers would have not wanted to make Halo Infinite a live service game. That's a game IMO that wasn't good enough to be released, as core features to the Halo brand, co-op, forge etc., were incomplete, but it was pushed out because it's the result (risk) Microsoft was willing to accept. Good games take time, money, and usually, clear direction. If there is constant change and no means of managing that effectively, the result is usually less than desirable. Either way, no matter what we think about it, what they could have done, should have done, what they're doing right, wrong... the trust with MS is severely damaged. It will take consistent, great games, to be released to bring back Xbox and they need to stop pivoting...
  17. I would agree. Not much to step up from but it could depend on their priorities. Vive Pro, Vision Pro, Quest 3, Index are all doing slightly different things. The only headset that pushes the boundaries for PC gaming and resolution is the Pimax. However, it's very expensive and is still bogged down by technical constraints (weight, cables etc.). If the users priorities are different, like comfort and portability, the Quest 3 would be a better bet (as a side grade). Pimax Crystal review: the ultimate VR headset for flight sim and racing games? WWW.EUROGAMER.NET John Linneman reviews the Pimax Crystal, the 'highest clarity VR headset in the world'. What's it good for?
  18. 'We need smaller games,' says Xbox's Matt Booty, right after Microsoft shut down the studio that made Hi-Fi Rush—and was reportedly about to pitch a sequel | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The mixed messages go up to 11. I think it simply comes down to leadership needing to be held accountable for not defining a clear vision and sticking to it. You know, here's our vision for Xbox for the next 5 - 10 years, here are our goals to help us get there, and provide progress updates along the way. Seems like they're all over the place. Spend billions acquiring Zenimax/ Bethesda, Activision, and then do not provide the support and resources they really need to deliver more content at the pace Xbox needs for game pass. AAA games have 5 year+ long cycles at min.* They literally just got the ball rolling and then they kill their devs. Insane. We need more small indie, high profile games; Kills the studio that did exactly just that. Nothing to do with marco economic "head winds" lol.
  19. Steamed hams never disappoint
  20. Different automotive antifreezes have different inhibitors for specific components in a vehicle. Some of them are too harsh for different tubing types. For the context of the build (budget, FX build) I don't think it matters all that much. 80/20 (4:1 ratio) is probably a safe min. 50/50 (1:1 ratio) is max. Goal of using antifreeze in a PC is to prevent mixed metals from going into galvanic corrosion mode. Unless you're running this loop outside, sub-ambient temps, you'll be fine with the min. Just cross check what tubing you're using first IMO. I've had a bad experience with an ethylene glycol (primary additive is most automotive coolants) that wrecked my clear XSPC tubing. Went green, nasty etc. No overall net impact to performance and blocks were by and large, fine. No major clogs. More context can be found here if you want to go down the rabbit hole: https://www.overclock.net/threads/what-is-plasticizer.1380775/ Really wont matter if you use EPDM tubing or something like Primochill Advance LRT tubing. Which is why most enthusiasts who water cool just fast forward to EPDM. Low maintenance. Honestly, for this build, I wouldn't overthink it. Cleaning it: Many guides out there. IMO doesn't really matter how you clean it, just do it well, especially radiators, and then finish with distilled to minimize any microbials sitting in the loop. The more acidic the cleaning solution, the more harsh it can be on the finish of a block, like nickel plated. I usually just do hot tap water and dish soap. Some rads will be dirtier than others. https://www.titanrig.com/blog/post/how-to-flush-a-pc-radiator#:~:text=Plug the radiator's ports and, will be ready for service. If you want to go more in-depth, there is Mayhem Blitz. Never tried it but I'm not sure how many water cooling threads ive responded to in my history, but most of the time Sir Beregond has responded before me, and he's recommended Blitz in the past many, many times. I trust the guy, even if I've never met him XD so I'm sure its good alternative if you want to spend money.

  23. Hey, sorry for the late reply. I hear you and I probably won't be the best person to provide just advice on just coffee over the web. Just because I strongly believe your local roaster will have something much better, whether due to costs or quality, than what I can recommend. Thats what I meant about the Echo. Not that its the best coffee out there, rather its one of the best options for me because the costs are cheaper locally and in person. If going to a local coffee shop is a constraint, just do a google search online for local roasters. Most shops will have Columbian or Arabica sole sourced or blends. Any local roaster worth their salt will supersede a mass produced product that is distributed to restaurants or chains, generally speaking. Im sure there is roaster within your state that can provide a similar quality / price to what I can obtain locally
  24. To simplify the answer to the question (can my GPU run X displays?), just look at the bandwidth of each port. 1.4a does 32 Gbps HDMI 2.1 does 48 Gbps. Then just cross check the constraint (bandwidth) against your target output. HDMI 2.1 can safely do 4K / 120hz / 10 bit. My 3060 Ti was hooked up to my C9 OLED doing 4K / 120 HDR back in 2020. The Display ports will be a bottleneck if you want to push 4K / 120hz. 4K / 60hz should be doable at 10 bit no problem on all 3 display ports. Quick google search will find you calculators to help: Video Timings Calculator (tomverbeure.github.io) E.g., Sketch to simplify: GPU horsepower to run games is a different story XD. Especially if you want to run surround, which means you're increasing the render and display resolution of said game, which will become extremely taxing, depending on the title.
