  1. Nice I'm not sure if this also matters and if I am just racking up your bill with the dev for all these changes, but within the threads, the "OP" is listed as "Topic Starter". Just more food for thought if you want to be more consistent across the board. Take these as suggestions, ultimately, I don't want you to spend too much time / $ on these items.
  2. I can't help it... Also, wasn't this the 4080 12gb or is that the original 4070 Ti? I'm getting confused with all of their naming shenanigans. At least the 4070 Super seems like a good product and ultimately, the 4080 is finally getting a price cut. But it's too little, too late IMO. Hope they correct their product line with the Blackwell series after trying to take advantage of gamers.
  3. 2024-01-23 - Update Reviews are going live for another two major titles (when will the games STAPH?) Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (formally known as the Yakuza series) Metacritic score (PC) -> 89% (in progress, subject to change) Release date -> January 26, 2024 Systems -> PC, PS, XB Tekken 8 Metacritic score (PC)-> 93% (in progress, subject to change) Release date -> January 26, 2024 Systems -> PC, PS, XB
  4. If your truncate the window, the text redirects to the next available row below. E.g., this is when I squish my chrome browser window on a 1440p monitor.
  5. 2024-01-22 - Update The list is now live! (second post) Now it may look sparse but throughout the week(s) it will be filled with content. I tried a new way to embed it into the forum by using the publishing function within Google Sheets. Font doesn't seem to match but it should be easier to navigate. *cracks knuckles* time to get at it A lot of games still to highlight but so far we have two large releases in 2024. 1. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It's been 14 years since the last major Prince of Persia release (2010). Metroidvania / 2D platformer style. Fast paced. 2. Palworld. Openworld Ark survival type game that strangely resembles Pokemon. Sold over 5m copies in 3 days... A game worth mentioning that will be released in the next ~30 days. Pacific Drive. A "road like", it's a driving-survival game where you traverse the "exclusion zone" in the pacific north west. Looks super fun and creepy at the same time. I intend to buy this at launch (if reviews are good).
  6. NVIDIA RTX Remix Open Beta Available Now - Remaster The Classics With RTX WWW.NVIDIA.COM Modders: Download the NVIDIA RTX Remix Open Beta to remaster classic games with full ray tracing, DLSS and generative AI tools. Something a little off the main path...
  7. Noice! In my mind, "Op" should be "OP" but now I'm just being fussy Edit: It also may be worth harmonizing the date format across all types of posts. Reviews still follow the full date (E.g, January 4, 2024) whilst all other posts and threads follow (MM DD, HH:MM)
  8. If you have the passion for tea, just go for it My inventory is now stocked for the next 3-6 months so I know I won’t place a (larger) order anytime soon. I am also unsure if I can order those specific teas here in Canada. Still doesn’t prevent us from chatting about it or to inform others Personally I can’t tell quality by looking at the leaves… but they sure look pretty XD
  9. Thanks Yea it was a little more effort than my espresso routine but ultimately it's a tea with frothed milk I need to add more leaves I think, steep it longer, and maybe a bit more honey. It was good but not 100% perfect. Certainly interested in trying a Chai Never had one.
  10. Tried making a London Fog with Tealish’s Earl Grey Cream tea leaves. Recipe (first attempt) for two cups London Fog: - 1 heaping tablespoon of earl grey tea leaves - ~250ml boiling water - Steep for 5mns. - 1 heaping tablespoon of honey - 2 drops of vanilla extract - Pour batch into two separate cups. - Froth 250ml milk however you prefer and pour evenly into both cups
  11. You can't find a link for the "tea" labeled "Gunpowder" ... lol I kid! Thanks for sharing the spread! I'll need to check them out. I am curious if there is a local distributor so I can to my list of preferred vendors.
  12. 2024-01-18 - Xbox Developers Direct Avowed Developer: Obsidian Release date: Fall 2024 Senua's Saga Hellblade II Developer: Ninja Theory Release date: May 21, 2024 Visions of Mana Developer: Square Enix Release date: Summer 2024 Ara: History Untold Developer: Oxide Games Release date: Fall 2024 Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Developer: MachineGames Release date: 2024 Source: https://www.eurogamer.net/indiana-jones-in-2024-and-everything-else-announced-in-xboxs-developer-direct
  13. Exactly, that's why I bought it too. Look, some may tolerate frame gen more than others and I won't argue that. I just didn't like, even in the game that has really good implementation but isn't that popular (Avatar). Ultimately, it's a feature as you described and I love my 7900 XTX. It's the least amount you can pay today for the absolute most amount of raster performance. I didn't want to wait 3 years for Blackwell so I jumped in immediately (day 1 purchase) and I am glad I did because, time has value too, ya know So I will ride this card out, as long as I can until Blackwell approaches and then sell it for as much as I can to reinvest into being a day 1 buyer on the next gen.
  14. Same but I wouldn’t buy one for framegen. Even in Avatar, where it’s been reported to be the best implementation yet, it’s not worth committing to. Maybe if you have 80-90fps baseline in your preferred game but there are not enough games that support FSR3 where the 7900XTX can blast it at 4K. Their driver level implementation is not good. Too much judder when you move around.
  15. There is an interesting doc, not sure if on a streaming service or youtube, but it went into details how native species within the contamination zone have spread radiation all across Europe. One of the examples was reindeer / deer, which I believe migrate from Ukraine to Finland. Don't quote me on that but the whole story was rather interesting. E.g., Radioactive Reindeer Roam Norway 30 Years After Chernobyl | WIRED WWW.WIRED.COM Long after the radiation that blanketed Europe dispersed, herders in Norway are living with the effects of the worst civilian nuclear disaster in history.
  16. Thanks for sharing I came across a video last year which I thought was pretty interesting: The presenter is very good at communicating and explaining the whole process. The AI can’t complete Pokemon but they demonstrate how the AI can be trained to learn in a way that is digestible. I have not opened most of those articles but I read about Google layoffs for tomorrow reported by Ars. I’m not entirely convinced that article is accurate. They’re correlating PMAX (AI solution) to LCS (Large Customer Sales) and personally, I think the answer is more simple. Larger customers are spending less (larger trend) and they [Google] need to reorganize their groups and teams internally (trim the fat) to either manage more clients with less or reprioritize smaller clients. I could be entirely wrong but it seems incredibly risky for large clients to switch to AI so quickly at such scale that it’s already resulting in layoffs at Google. Seems sus.
  17. Chicken strips. Just breast cut into strips, pattered with flour, egg, and Italpasta “Italian” seasoned breadcrumbs. Cast iron with canola oil at 350f. 2-3mn per side. Throw on a wire rack and sprinkle salt.
  18. The teas literally arrived today So no comment but I will follow up in the coming days / weeks. Edit: Decided to brew a cup before bed. Made Stress Buster for the wife and I went with Lavender Mint. Green and Mint teas are my favourite and I tell you right now this one is delicious and definitely worth your time. It’s lavender forward more than mint but it’s very… decadent. Stress Buster^ Lavender Mint^
  19. I haven't opened them yet but they should all be loose-leaf. We have a similar type of metal mesh baskets to the link below to infuse the tea leaves. We brew tea per cup and not in a larger tea pot (batch serving). Typically I do one tablespoon per mug / basket. Depending on the tea, like green tea, I may temper the water or simply wait for it to cool down before brewing. https://www.amazon.ca/Basket-Leaves-Strainer-Teapot-Filter/dp/B016DT2KZY Once it's brewed, take out the basket, and I usually add lemon and honey. It's not popular here but if you go into any Germanic / Eastern-European (German / Polish) type grocery store, you can buy fruit syrups for tea or drinks. My wife introduced them to me years ago. I'm not a huge fan but if you like a sweet drink, you can add that too. https://polka-deli.com/652-herbapol-syrups I specifically chose the "Earl Grey" loose leaf tea as I wanted to try and make a "London Fog" https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/london-fog-tea-latte-london-fog-drink/
  20. That's how much Jensen pays a month on paste for his leather jackets so I don't expect him to be grounded in reality.
  21. Use your discretion. In my view, if there are larger impacts to the core group of EW (PC enthusiasts), I think it's fair for a separate thread to highlight that specific news. If there are other advancements in AI that don't directly relate to this audience, I think a larger AI Discussion thread makes sense to consolidate. Either way it doesn't bother me as a user to see more threads. That's my approach with Gaming. I have no qualms if there are separate threads for large announcements in the news section from others. Ultimately, I try to keep a general thread going for the wider, less in-depth discussions and provide updates that necessarily don't require an entire thread.

  23. If history is repeating itself, Blackwell should be the new Ampere and I'll wait for the "$500" "$600" 4090 called the 5070 with 15.5GB VRAM and DLSS 4 in early 2025. Thanks XD.

  25. Hello, This is just a reminder that I am working on a sheet. It will be up soon, hopefully by next week. It will be a live-ongoing thing so don't expect all games for 2024 to be there. It's just not possible. I've missed a few updates already this year but I wanted to flag that on Jan 18* there is an Xbox showcase (Developer Direct) and Indiana Jones is expected to be shown alongside other games. See quote below. Edit: It's also worth noting in 2022, Hi-Fi Rush was announced during developer direct and was a "shadow drop". AKA a game that was released with little to no heads up. It's possible we see another "shadow drop" or alternatively, and what's rumoured, is more updates for Hi-Fi Rush (either being released on platforms or DLC). Xbox to Present Developer_Direct, Returning on January 18 - Xbox Wire NEWS.XBOX.COM You’re about to get an exciting look at some of the incredible games ahead with Xbox, as we present a new edition of Developer_Direct on Thursday, January 18.
