They can promise 5 nodes just like they promised 10nm.

Maybe we will finally get 8-10ghz cpus by 2025. Then intel will only be 20 years late. And we will finally be able to play crysis.
-
The 5100 is probably a 5300G with a disabled gpu. I wish they would release the 5300G as well.
-
Well they could have just lowered the price of the current chips instead. The 5500 is just a bad value. They should have lowered the clocks and TDP to 35w and released it as an athlon instead.

Reminds me of the cryorig frostbit heatsink.

I would like to see HBM be used on a consumer cpu as a L4 cache. Imagine having 24gigs of cache.
-
I wonder if they can adapt the same 3D V-Cache design to Zen4. Zen4 being 5nm might require them to move the traces between the 2 layers.

There ssds are pretty mid range. So i can't see them focusing on ssds. Maybe they are getting rid of the crucial name.
They need to stop using that QLC for most of their stuff. And make some high end Pcie 4.0/5.0 TLC ssds.

Well there goes the ssd prices...

The latest version is going to be more secure. Because they stop security updates for older builds. So forcing people to update is a good thing. So long as they aren't bricking their system in the process.
The only issue i have with updating builds. Is that microsoft sometimes likes to reinstall bloat that i had removed.

I like the idea of it. But ill wait for a 90-120hz version.

Anything's better then taking the dumbed down console version of the original game and "remastering" it and porting it to pc. And then calling it crysis remastered. Hopefully crysis 4 will make me forget about crysis remastered.

Wait... Are you telling me. People still buy blu-ray movies.

I want it more for the chipset lanes. Some more USB 4.0. And maybe by then 10Gbe will be standard on new boards. Maybe some 40Gbe so we can get some use out of Cat8. A lot ISP's are now offering 2G and 5G fiber. We just need the hardware to be more standard. Then maybe the prices will drop.

The DC input might actually be interesting for long term storage? Or you could put a UPS hat on it. :)
-
Hopefully it will lead to that final nail in sata's coffin.
-
It's unstable for me. On both my GPU and my CPU. So it might have some bugs to work out.

Seems like a step in the right direction. But we also need Title II with local loop unbundling. So i hope he pushes for Title II next.

Well they could always remove the sata ports and put an m.2 port in their place. Then provide a m.2 to sata adapter. A would rather have space for another m.2. Then have an obsolete port i will never use. But some OCuLinks would be nice too.

Should be enough to power an asrock deskmini and other small builds. I would like to see a pico psu that uses it. But i don't see that happening anytime soon.

If only Gskill didn't make their ddr5 look so ugly.
