  1. Known & suspected hardware of ps5 taken from --> https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/ps5-specs-features-ssd-ray-tracing-cpu-gpu-6300#section-1 CPU - the PS5 CPU will be an AMD chip based on Ryzen. 8x cores; 7nm Zen 2. GPU and ray tracing - the PS5 GPU will be a custom AMD Navi GPU (possibly 36 custom Navi compute units at 2000MHz), that supports ray tracing at a hardware level (here's Digital Foundry on the current state of ray tracing tech if you're looking for more on that). Audio - the PS will have 3D Audio that Mark Cerny believes will be "dramatically different" to PS4 audio. Storage - as with the new Xbox, the PS5 will have an SSD (solid state drive). Sony says its version uses the new PCle 4.0 connection. Cerny gave the example of a 0.8 second loading time, compared to 15 seconds, when tested on Marvel's Spider-Man. Digital Foundry believes it could be GDDR6 at 448GB/s (possibly 512GB/s). Resolution support - the PS5 will have up to 8K support, presumably including full 4k. 4k Blu-ray Player - will be available, with the PS5 reading 100GB optical discs.
  2. Starswarm is a benchmark based on the Nitrous engine by Oxide games. The same engine used in ashes of the singularity. "This is achieved through a newly developed engine called Nitrous designed to fully leverage modern 64-bit multi-core processors, reflected in the relatively high system requirements (which include a quad-core processor)" created in 2013 it still shows it's effectiveness today. link for the test on steam--> https://store.steampowered.com/app/267130/Star_Swarm_Stress_Test/ Results of latest test ran with current machine. 3. It does seem to base the defaults on hardware, I just ran my dell that the rig above replaced to see how it would compare and the default was 1366 x 7xx. Here's the results of my old comp,i7-2600 with a gtx970 all factory defaults. Edit:This was run in 1920 x 1080 and all settings high as they would go.non looped.
  4. This was run in 1920 x 1080 full screen everything else was set high as it would go except for looping.
  5. "Google says it found these kinds of apps by developing a machine-learning based approach." Or their program was off ....
  6. lol, 5th anniversary of dying light so they're having a 4 week celebration! "Dying Light, still one of the best survival games around five years on, will be free to play on Steam this weekend." Edit:Including a screenshot of the patch released on 2/20/2020 Damn! This is GAME SUPPORT! https://dyinglightgame.com/dyinglight/anniversary
  7. If there's no real NEED for all 32 cores on a regular basis and money isn't the issue, then I'd probably switch to the Ryzen 9 system. It even offers faster speed memory(but only dual channel) DDR4 -3200 vs 2933. Judging from the few on e-bay,U should see a nice profit even after the new purchase.
  8. I think the 6 hour limit on the paid plan is just to keep people from logging onto the servers and never logging off.(Destiny does it now if you're too long without doing anything they put U in orbit)After the 6 hours, log out & U can log right back in,only loose a couple mins of play time.Heck, just log out during a bathroom break, and you're good for another 6 hours.
  9. lol, Google & Apple both can be heard chanting "One browser to rule them, and in the darkness BIND THEM!"

  11. Pics of the unpacking... Well, there would've been pics if everyone wasn't being blocked from uploading.....:angry_throw:Edit: The glass gives such a nice reflection.;)here's the pics.
  12. Want to say THANKS! and in the interest of keeping things fair,Since I just won a case I'll skip the entry for the D Frame mini. I wish EVERYONE all the best! lol, I just told the wife"Where was my luck 12 months ago when I built the new computer? I guess I'll have to look @ building another..."
  13. Just an update, it's selling for the same price as the 1660ti and only 30 to 50 bucks more than the higher end 1660 supers. It's about 50 less than the rx 5700 and about 100 less than the rx 5700 xt on average. I found a video that shows some nice comparisons in actual game play between the 1660ti and the rx 5600 xt and the rx 5700. including a screenshot of some current prices...
  14. dang, wish nvidia would make up their mind. the 2070 DIDN'T support SLI, but the 2060,2070,&2080supers do, along with the 2080 & 2080ti:rolleyes: guess it's still up in the air.
  15. Sad times.. I get it though, the frametimes can be problematic. Lots of recent games (and basically all ID games) do not support SLI. It is really such a bad time to lose the "2x" performance if you can afford it option... We are a time where more than ever, we NEED all of the graphics muscle we can get. 4K/60 is nice but let's be honest we all really want 4K/120Hz or 144Hz and there is no single card even remotely close to doing that. Everyone is basically stuck at 1440p/1080p until GPUs catch up. We are already seeing 8K coming to market (waaaay too early) and even a 2080Ti would fall to it's knees unless it was @ 30fps... Seems like a bad time to "kill off" or not find/design ways to re-invent multi-GPU support... after all the latest APIs DX12 and Vulkan were both designed to provide new ways to utilize Multi-GPU support.. why go through all the work (years) to design and build it into the latest APIs just to kill it off before mainstream adoption. A bit odd I methinkx. The RTX cards are using NVLink instead of SLI and it'll be up to the games to have support for it in them.Seems like the game companies are just cutting as many corners as possible since more sales seem to go to consoles now adays.

  17. before U knock RGB fans, when they are free from the contest on here, you can't really complain... https://www.in-win.com/en/fans/aurora <--- what I won. Edit: If you're gonna be saving 4k/60fps video, I found the drives for you... lol.
  18. Dang! That's just sick! :thumbs_thumbsupup:
  19. Surprised the E.U. hasn't hit Google with a lawsuit yet. They hit microsoft with 1 for having Internet Explorer as the default browser and not offering a ver.of windows without it.Isn't Google doing the same type of thing? You could argue that, not sure why it has not been bought up yet within the EU, but I would imagine that if they carry on the practice (and can be proven) there would be some form of hearing. I kinda think microsoft got singled out, after all, haven't seen them chasing apple. "And Apple's iOS (mobile operating system) is an acknowledged disaster for Mozilla. Safari is the default and, while users can install other browsers, they come doubly hindered: they can never be set as the default, meaning any link clicked in other applications will open in Safari; and they must use Safari's rendering engine, a technical limitation that means that even the browsers that Firefox does have on the platform are technically just fancy wrappers for Apple's own browser, rather than full versions of the service that Mozilla has built over the decades."
  20. Hey bro, make a slide show vid of your pics, post on you youtube and post the video on here. :eat_popcom: you build vids are always fun to watch.(like your xeon build!)
