  1. Color me very, very impressed! Threw together a Mainline myself a while back, but I certainly didn't have much to do with its design.
  2. That's likely going to be a tough one for most web devs to solve. If I had something set up and running with Linux, I'd take a look, but I haven't used (nor had a need for) Linux since ca. 2019 or so. Still got the micro appliance I set up with Ubuntu to run pfsense a number of years back. If you haven't tried it and want to do a little more troubleshooting, you can try disabling any/all of the extensions in Firefox, clear your cache again, and see whether those issues still occur. If they do clear up, you can try turning on one extension at a time to try and find what's causing the problem.
  3. bant coz maybe invite him? i heard those like him can't cross the portal's threshold unless they're invited in.
  4. bant coz that makes sense; i like being banned for bad reasons ...but i digress; did captain kangaroo drive a windowless panel van?
  5. I tried to duplicate this issue on my machine (current WIN 10 PRO OS), but couldn't. Could be related to the browser/OS in use ( Mozilla Firefox on an Apple device? ), enabled Ad/Script blockers, app/OS versioning, etc. @DiffidentDid you try clearing your cache (CTRL+F5) to see whether it's a cache related issue? Either way (yay or nay), knowing the browser in use, OS, enabled Ad/Script blockers, versions of those, etc., could be of use to the site's developer(s). Anyway, while I'm at it, given the example that was shared, I probably ought to note to that buyers & sellers should read the Marketplace Rules before participating in the marketplace. Not trying to be the bad guy here, but the rule exists for good reasons: Marketplace Requirements & Rules
  6. Nothing, really. It was just one of the places Intuit located an old account of mine that I no longer need. Now I'm making sure all accounts I no longer use are closed if they can be closed. The full reason why I closed the LinkedIn account is that a T-Mobile data breach exposed ALL of my info to the dark web a few years back. Everything. Now some guy who may be in Brazil is pretending to be me.
  7. while I like to think I retired for reasons of health and closed my linkedin account, i actually closed my linkedin account because intuit found all of my info on the dark web. (too many drones.)
  8. The Offspring - Why Don't You Get A Job? (Official Music Video) George Thorogood And The Destroyers - Get a Haircut and Get a Real Job
  9. Welcome to the extremes! (...maybe we should start a rock band?)
  10. Good luck with that Given where we are today, I can't help but wonder if our species has actually been devolving for decades now (pea-brain comes to mind). If true, the only real question might be ape or lizard...?
  11. Yeah, you know if I did cut the block I have in half and learn that it's made of nickel plated aluminum, they'd catch hell. It could turn out being a somewhat expensive experiment though...
  12. Nickel plated aluminum? The block I got from them for my STRIX 4090 OC is still in it's box while I wait on Optimus to ship the one I ordered from them. I'm almost tempted to get out my jigsaw and cut through the EK block to determine yay or nay...
  13. While I'm not a fan of our current state government ('nuff said), I did find the article rather interesting ( Source ): The linked long pdf document (44 pages) mentioned in the quoted text above also is somewhat intriguing. Lastly, I probably ought to mention that I run the following three anti-spam/anti-malware extensions in my browsers just for the s&g's. Doing so also kills Youtube ads, which helps speed up getting to the meat of a matter: Bitdefender, AdBlockPlus, and Malware bytes (of course, ). I do have to disable Malwarebytes on EHW and a few other sites though, because not doing so results in excessively long site loading times.
  14. hmmm... okay, this is actually the oldest hardware i've worked on:
  15. I don't keep really old hardware around because I simply don't have the storage space for it. So what you guys are sharing brings back a number of memories for me. While I didn't own what follows, the guy pretending to do testing on the components in front of him reminds me of me the first half of the 90s (92-95): and I worked on multi-processor electronic warfare threat simulator systems like this (systems integrator/field service engineer/alternate facility security officer (hence, no actual pix)):
  16. he's good, but is he cowbell good?
  17. Updated the OP to state: "I suspect a number of us out there use these drives, the 2TB Pro versions of the 980 drives..." It was a bit too ambiguous given the ensuing questions from readers. Given what I've read, I don't think you'll have an issue. That said, it's my understanding that a fix for the issue is still in a state of flux.
  18. That will only work if you're using the newer, sealed muffler bearings (also known as the throwaways). If you have to replace/regrease the older variety, you'll need to ensure the muffler bearing and its race are thoroughly cleaned, and packed with fresh elbow grease before installation/reinstallation. Also, while you've got your car up on jack stands, you should also check your blinker fluid, especially if you make a lot of high speed turns. Lastly, a recent encabulator update brought to you by SANS. SANS, the Industry Leader in Highest Standard Cybersecurity Education:
