I know what you mean and can relate to it, and would keep an open mind; but I'm also somewhat of a realist (believe it or not). It's 2022 after all...

I'd treat the situation like a quasi Tinder date (no, I'm not on Tinder) and ask/invite them to a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop. After introductions, you could get into details there, including terms (if the discussion makes it that far). If not, no love lost, no risk of being mugged or robbed, yada yada yada. If it turns out to be a guy dressed in pink leotards, well, you know. At the least, you might get a real feel for what this person is like. OTOH. NC is an open carry state, ain't it...? Added: as for parts and labor, really depends on what this person wants. I personally feel that if they're after OCN enthusiast level quality, you charge accordingly.
