  2. ^You'll likely be okay for the time being; but there may come a time down the road when the use of hardware that requires what many currently think of as an excessively large amount of power will also require the use of an ATX 3.0 spec'd psu. I've been reading through a few threads here and there (including a very long one at chiphell) about Intel's newly updated/released psu design guide and what's being stated pretty much parrots that. Section 3 of the recently updated design guide is pretty much all new stuff that Intel may have hashed out with NVIDIA (or not, and NVIDIA is simply complying with Intel's new requirement); hence, those new 12 pin connectors everyone's been talking about. You can download a locked pdf copy of the updated design guide from here (you won't be able to copy and paste from it): ATX12VO (12V Only) Desktop Power Supply Design Guide Revision 2, March 2022 Intel also provides an html version of the design guide that's aligned to ATX 2.0; it covers much of what's included in Section 3 of the newly updated version noted above, starting in the subsection labeled PCI Express* Add-in Card Considerations in the sidebar toc. The ATX 3.0 spec itself may or may not still be in preliminary status--I wouldn't know; it is currently unavailable to peons like myself
  3. Just grabbed a fancy new USB cable for my new keyboard. That is if I keep it, not sure if I can ever get used to an Alice layout. Design COAXIUS.COM Notion – The all-in-one workspace for your notes, tasks, wikis, and databases. OWLAB.NOTION.SITE A new tool that blends your everyday work apps into one. It's the all-in-one workspace for you and your team
  4. WOW!!! But dang, it almost makes mine feel underwhelming (that's what she told me). The delid kit showed up today: Also, the black hardware I ordered from Bolt Depot for the Atlas II:
  5. It wouldn't hurt to ask him directly. FWIW, the setup I use is based somewhat on his designs, but I made it myself studying the images he has on his website. To keep construction simpler, I used a motherboard plate from a Mountain Mods motherboard tray which fits ATX/EATX form factors. While Mountain Mods doesn't carry a motherboard tray suitable for what amounts to larger rack sized equipment, I imagine a plate/motherboard tray that would suit your needs could be a diy project if you can/are willing to invest the effort (and some moolah; and I don't feel it would get that expensive if you don't allow it too). Just some sound advice from the old guy.
  6. This next one's dedicated to dingus' sea legs: ...next up, some meat & potatoes: and last (but not least), your typical hilarious clog dancer (got to have at least one hilarious clog dancer now-a-daze): and now for the least, which ties it all together with a string full of nots.
  7. it's an amazon top quality service meme in and of itself (look closely): They gave me five dollars for my troubles and they're going to expedite four to me (I have my doubts) this time around (and I can keep the one they already sent me, also for my troubles). Anyway, I did clearly voice my dissatisfaction with their service to the CSR (in Mumbai) using adequate voice inflection
  8. Hey, I've got one of those (too). They were a little less expensive when I bought mine though:
  9. ^PM your mailing address and I'll send it your way.
  10. If this is what you need, I've got it (sans nuts & bolts). Are you located in the States?
  11. Yuel Beast Atlas II arrived and assembled. I'll post better pix that actually show off the "case" once I get set up for it: Now the real fun begins.
  12. Then there's Galax, of course: GALAX launches GeForce RTX 3090 Ti HOF with dual 16-pin power connectors and up to 516W of power
  13. Isn't that what friends are for?
  14. When you have 63 of them you do
  15. Need a fan controller that saves the settings in the firmware like the Aquacomputer gear does. If using MB fan headers this will always happen as there is no fan control till it posts, hence the need to go off board. Outside of using a startup boost my fans never go past 600rpm's. Just remember each channels settings is saved into the firmware so if you ever use that Aquero, Octo or Quadro again it'll have the old settings saved, so don't be surprised while testing fans out one day years from now why say 1 channel isn't working.
  16. LN2, dry CO2, or a plumbed in hd chiller?
  17. I'd have to check, but I might have an extra bracket in storage that I'm not using. If I do, it's yours if you want it.
  18. Guess this thread is as good as any other to post the following in. Just an fyi for those who weren't aware that NewEgg actually went live with the 12900KS on the 24th, taking the listing offline the following day. The following image is posted directly from their server: https://c1.neweggimages.com/ProductImageCompressAll1280/19-118-392-V01.jpg )
  19. it's been ~48 years since i heard this last on fm radio.
  20. Probably not the ban thread there hence: if it were me, i wouldn't blame myself. I think OCN's become a great place to test the limits of what might get one banned, especially by an overzealous moderator who might not fully appreciate the subtle difference(s) between innate sarcasm and a lack of diversity training. That's the social scientist in me speaking, btw Still, sites like OCN do come equipped with their own TOS. One either behaves, or well, you know
  21. Please Wait... | Cloudflare WWW.OVERCLOCK.NET
  22. I still check out OCN from time to time and not being able to comment has really helped me realized why I got banned. The amount of BS and people talking like experts but sprouting total nonsense is too much for me not to call it out. I just don't have the vocabulary to not resort to name calling. I really feel like an old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn. I'm reading a thread on there atm and can't help but yell at my screen.
