  1. The radiators and extra fans are for the Yuel Beast Atlas II build. Those and two HL 360GTS MP rads as well as a number of the same fans that I already have on hand will help complete the loop(s). The Liquid Utopia because it's got what plants don't want and because I haven't been able to find bacterial inhibitor additive in stock elsewhere.
  2. That guide is probably one of the reasons he was hired by Intel. Very well done!
  3. thanks for the link/added input the XL looks neat, but it'd be way to big given the room I've got.
  4. It's actually a question that's been asked many times over the years. Using linkable power supplies like J7SC mentions above will work, where that possibility exists. There's also what follows, which provides a bit more clarification about using dual psus to boost available power (see the answers in the linked content): Using multiple power supplies in one PC. Also see dual pc power supplies avoiding ground loops for its SERP (About 106,000,000 results). Ground loops can actually cause damage if not properly mitigated.
  5. While I did recently request an EHW email address to possibly support article contributions I make, I decided one wasn't really necessary, especially because of the issues E touched on. I can and will work without one.
  6. Having hung out a few times now in what one certainly might call their regular Discord streaming sessions, I'd also say they have indeed worked very hard to accomplish this feat. Kudos to @Bastiaan_NL for pulling it off; and Kudos to @Avacadofor helping him get there.
  7. @PCSargeWhat's mid-range? Something like the PRUSA? That's the one I've had my eye on for some time now. The kit, that is.
  8. well, i can see a main pwr switch, a bunch of axis, a cooling fan on a head, and an interface hub for a controller and/or a pc; but i don't see any spools of plastic stringy stuff. is that head a mount for a router/cutting head? what's the clamp on the left for? that's not a nipple clamp, is it? a 3d printer's been on my list for a while, but it's not a priority for me. and i'd love my own cnc, but just don't have the room for it.
  9. So the Kingston RAM and the WD Red SSDs showed up. I'll start putting that stuff together and testing it while I'm waiting on the Yuel Beast Atlas II to arrive (sometime toward the end of this month/first half of next month; and I'll probably move the Kingpin 3090 to this Dark Z690 MB, and swap that gpu out on the Dark Hero X570 MB with the Strix 3090 shown below).
  10. @ENTERPRISE How 'bout an informative (and illustrated) article written more or less in layman's terms about SEO itself? You wouldn't have to pay me for it and there might be some here who'd like to see something about SEO demystified.
  11. Interesting, including Igor's input. I happen to have an unused set of four EK-RAM Monarch Modules (enough for eight sticks) that I bought back in 2017, as well as the water blocks to go with them: Once the DDR5 ram I ordered arrives and I've had a chance to make sure they work, I might see whether that EK Monarch setup will keep the ram cool enough. EK claims these parts are compatible with a large number of Z690 motherboards, including my EVGA Dark; and I'm hoping to either confirm or negate that. If I'm not mistaken, you just bought a set of the same ram as me (F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5RK), didn't you? Added edit: oops, sorry about that; that was @geriatricpollywog over on OCN.
  12. It will Thought about waiting on the 12900KS, but it's really not worth the extra $150-$200 to me. The 12900K will do just fine in the Z690 Dark. The Z690 Dark did arrive: These parts will be going into the Yuel Beast Atlas II that's also on order:
  13. Won't argue with that. Can't wait to see what happens when nvidia releases their 4xxx series cards to market.
  14. $10K doesn't go very far anymore, not when you're buying TOTL. Just the MB, CPU and GPU with blocks for me is already at $4,400.
  15. If my eyes weren't as bad as they've become, I'd be all over this! Not for the money, mind you, but simply because of my background in technical writing and SEO. Good luck with this, E!
  16. Wait until they release their new EVGA E! prebuilt system. Some of us are guestimating it'd have to have a price tag upwards of $10K, if not more. I've signed up for it, but I definitely won't be buying it.
  17. The Classified queue opened up some time back, while the Dark queue opened Feb 17. Both queues have since been locked down though (meaning autonotify has been disabled on their respective product pages); and only 15 or so Dark boards have been shipped thus far, at least as far as one can tell via the tracking of that queue. They may have shipped more Dark boards as not all who've ordered post that knowledge to EVGA's forums.
  18. I am so glad I recently bought an Epson label printer (and not a Dymo).
  19. Another day, another death... We skipped the light fandango Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor I was feeling kinda seasick But the crowd called out for more The room was humming harder As the ceiling flew away When we called out for another drink The waiter brought a tray And so it was that later As the miller told his tale That her face, at first just ghostly Turned a whiter shade of pale She said, there is no reason And the truth is plain to see But I wandered through my playing cards And would not let her be One of sixteen vestal virgins Who were leaving for the coast And although my eyes were open They might have just as well've been closed And so it was that later As the miller told his tale That her face at first just ghostly Turned a whiter shade of pale She said, 'I'm home on shore leave,' Though in truth we were at sea So I took her by the looking glass And forced her to agree Saying, 'You must be the mermaid Who took Neptune for a ride.' But she smiled at me so sadly That my anger straightway died And so it was that later As the miller told his tale That her face at first just ghostly Turned a whiter shade of pale If music be the food of love Then laughter is its queen And likewise if behind is in front Then dirt in truth is clean My mouth by then like cardboard Seemed to slip straight through my head So we crash-dived straightway quickly And attacked the ocean bed And so it was that later As the miller told his tale That her face at first just ghostly Turned a whiter shade of pale Gary Booker, 29 May 1945 – 19 February 2022 R.I.P., Gary.
