N2 Gaming

I don't know what his score was but in regular heaven I get 1479 on the last time I ran it. at all stock settings. I'll have to see if I can get HWBot's heaven to work in Basic. Not working for me atm for some lame reason

IT was the driver. I had tried to oc the cpu to 3.5Ghz and fubar'd the bios to the point I had to pull the battery to do a really hard bios reset. Got it back up and running at stock but once the bios reset it defaulted and I did not check every little setting. So my theory on why sli was scoring so low is because after I reset the bios and got back into windows the os installed the hybrid sli driver for the onboard Nvidia card built into the mobo. MSI NF980-G65 So I had to go back into the bios, disable the setting for hybrid sli then install new drivers and then I saw both gpu's chugging along. To get the the point where the HWBot heaven did not want to work for some reason. I called it a night and went fishing the following day. Spent yesterday recovering from a get together with a couple of neighbors after fishing saturday evening and log in to discover what appears like the sli 460's won't be needed on my part. Still have to figure out why HWBots's heaven software was not wanting to load up. The basic is the one that would not work for some reason.

Ok I got the two gtx460's running in SLI but I can see little to no usage on the second gpu while monitoring them in Afterburner as well as in Heaven. I get the same score in sli or non sli mode Don't know what's going on.

I found an EVGA GT or GTX285 yesterday while looking for some hardware.

I don't think that way LOL. Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea if I had a couple of better fans laying around. Not about to go hosing other hardware for this one LOL Edit: Super glue is drying. The glue should not throw the fan out of balance too much.

While cleaning the dust off of a never used in my possession GTX 460 1GB Hawk Twin Frozer GPU, the dark side managed to make me break 5 fan blades off one of the two fans I'm performing the Super Glue surgery atm. Hopefully the card is good after all this. I'd hate to plug it in to find a DOA card after doing the cleaning and fan surgery. I need little Yoda's power right about now.

I'd like to give credit where credit is due. EVGA is calling Nvidia out on their BS business tactics as more should do. If they survive this great if not it's just sign of the times. Who don't remember having issues with DFI when they took a turn or OCZ or Foxcon, epox etc. Nvidia can only get so big before they get knocked off the shelf. I won't lie I'm an Nvidia Fanboy going way back to ever since No ATi Card has ever worked flawlessly for me. I think Nvidia is banking on knowing the market is going to be getting tight here pretty soon if the economy keeps on tanking and is going to be relying on people with money willing to pay what ever required to get the latest and greatest hardware. Fry's out of business, Circuit City out of business, Sears/KMart going if not already out of business. It happens but unless paying customers put their foot down and say no more by spending the $$$ elsewhere then these big greedy conglomerates keep getting away with it and prices keep soaring out of control. I'd love a new EVGA 4090 Ti FTW3 GPU but I know MSI, Asus, Gigabyte and others will put out cards very capable to take up the slack. Unless people globally band together and say no more then you can expect nothing to change. I'm not sure about how y'all handle politics here but I think it has a lot to do with it and what is in our near future O.o Basically in my opinion worrying about EVGA is peanuts compared to what may be on the horizon. edit: I just googled remaining open Sears stores. I'm in Stockton California and we still have one of the remaining 4 stores open in California. I know off topic but sorta related if peeps are thinking EVGA is tanking

Try pulling a 5.0L out of a 98 Explorer in 115F temps two days in a row while feeling like you are going to pass out just from bending over or squatting and standing back up. My most recent engine project is a 1994 Super Cab F150 5.0L 5spd 4x4 Lifted truck I recently purchased for a song. Got the engine home and pulled the pistons for inspection to discover very minimal wear. I think I'll get away with a hone and new rings. I kind of melted the coating on the Hypereutectic pistions by soaking them in Purple Power "don't do that" but they are super clean now and ready for new rings.

I might have a pair of GTX 460 cards for the gt 400 series in SLI I could submit with the Ph ii x4 955 BE I'll have to look. Can't remember what hardware I have laying around.
