My Awards

  1. The Intel chips that will go into defense industry stuff to be made with no foreign components will be enough to consume a lot of chips. This was a big driver to bring this manufacturing home. If Taiwan and its semiconductor manufacturing industry were to suddenly be cut off it would really hamper a lot of defense capability. Add to that the demand for AI, tech in infrastructure, etc and Intel is well positioned. Nvidia is going to be a huge partner to keep their chips towards the front of the queue. I have to imagine that with the huge investment the previous and current administrations have put into this there is a clause to put items of national security at the front of the line. The new fab in Rio Rancho NM is up and running. Not sure about the big one in Phoenix.
  2. Seems a good time to buy Intel stock. I am excited for the next generation of products on the new fabs Intel is building.
  3. I've not tried to put identical kits together for years. They worked fine at their base frequency but overclocking was unstable, even at XMP. Maybe things are better now, but I would just get a single kit rated to work at the speed you want.
  4. I am surprised that TH-10A is still up. I am so tempted. Don't need it and don't know where I would put it. Already have four CL cases but I have hoarding tendencies. Somebody else please buy it so I don't. It is a killer deal. Heck, I just paid more than that to get a vintage steering wheel recovered. That also happens to be why I haven't already hit buy on this.
  5. Got my keyboard. Thank you. My son will enjoy the upgrade from his white apple mechanical keyboard.
  6. No surprises here. Threats that need mitigation. Russian cannot compete militarily, but if they can turn a country against its own interests it often doesn't really need to. The just need to stoke division. Different countries have different levers to pull.
  7. Hey now, how am I going to get paid by Prigozhin to troll the comments sections of news websites/FB/etc and hide it without crypto?
  8. I am in shock how powerful the 4090 is in folding. A pair of 3090Tis and 4 Titan XPs couldn't outperform a single 4090. Lol.
  9. My house was nice and toasty when I woke up this morning. Have the windows open. New Mexico got a nice layer of snow and it is supposed to be chilly all weekend. The weather approves of my folding. My girlfriend is less excited.
  10. Thank you sir. Naturally as soon as I posted that I found this exaction solution. The view benchmark run URL works. After that I saw there is a cinebench competition going for the next week. So I downloaded benchmate to run some of these and am trying to figure out why the multicore cpu runs will give the option to submit to HWBOT directly but the single core entries do not. Not that entering them is a big deal, but the auto entry feature is nice. Aside from overclocking the CPU and closing all processes not absolutely critical to running, anything else one can do to get a better single core cinebench score?
  11. I guess I will join in the fun.
  12. Fortunately the younger generations typically drink water and breathe air with a lot less heavy metals contamination than previous generations. I hope that unleaded brains and growing up with people online constantly trying to deceive them will lead to them being a little less gullible and less susceptible to disinformation. Laziness in verifying information before repeating it will persist.
  13. Looks like they make turntable feet too. Not cheap, but if they are like my CL feet they are going to be nice. Technics SL-1200, SL-1200G, SL-1200GR, SL-1210, SL-1210GAE, SL-1210GR Turntable Isolation Feet (Four) WWW.MNPCTECH.COM These custom made anti-vibration isolation feet for the Technics SL1200, SL1210, SL1200 G, SL-1200 GR, SL1200 GAE, and SL2010 GR...
