My Awards

  1. Sounds a lot like what I'm dealing with, lol. Michele and I got sick last month with the flu or something nasty, and it lasted about a week. On top of that Michele had major neck surgery. Then last week I got sick again with something nasty but different because this one had a sore throat and hacking cough that wouldn't let me sleep. That lasted about 5 or so days then went away just in time for my back to seize up (I blame these weather spikes). Finally getting over that, and now I have contractors working on some projects in the yard. The problem is these contractors turned out to be incompetent imbeciles. And now Michele is sick with the hacking cough thing I had last week. I just want to get some sleep.
  2. EVENT START EVENT STOP How to participate: During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902 Stats: You can view the stats for the foldathon here: https://ehwfoldingstats.lazypenguin.com/35 Mind the EVENT START TIMER as it is UTC time zone. Prizes: TBD Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding. Link to V8.5 Client Thank you for your participation!
  3. lol that's at least as fast as my RX 6900XT and probably like 75-100W I'm guessing. What an awesome little card!
  4. Verified 24th start. I reported the OP so someone can edit it. I do not have that ability
  5. How many watts are we talking for that 5070 Ti? Seems like a folding monster!
  6. Prize for MOST WORK UNITS completed during challenge. Sorry USA only unless you want to pay for shipping. Board is just a couple months old. Was in my main rig and I just upgraded. Has a chonker VRM and tons of USB and great audio. Ideal for a streamer or studio work.
  7. There were some serious server issues at folding@home this year. I stopped posting the monthly foldathons because of it. I assume they are back on track so if we have a descent turnout for the [H] competition I'll resume those.
  8. I'll actively promote it on the Azalea City discord and see if we can get a few guests to join.
  9. Week long team challenge. If you can turn on extra machines for team 239902, do so during the last week of January. No need to join [H]ardForum, but you are welcomed to do so for trash talk purposes. When: The event will be Jan 24 10AM PST - 31st 10AM PST https://hardforum.com/threads/2026-7th-annual-folding-challenge-jan-25-31-2026.2045313/ I'm going to see what prizes I can put up for EHW, so stay tuned for that.
  10. There is more evidence of the rumored refresh of the 9000 series SKUs. I read about a 9800X3D with higher clocks, and 9950X3D with 3D cache on both chiplets. This could mean a price cut for existing SKUs soon. I'm also watching the 9800X3D price but I am very patient.
  11. I was reading all of this on the official folding@home forum. They seem to be aware of the problems, but haven't figured out the cause. Is it still hanging up for everyone?
  12. 41% of the TPU ppd is former folders from EHW that never made it back after the transition. Another huge chunk is one former EVGA folder. We have always been on good terms with both of those teams.
