Personally I wouldn't buy anything other than a Samsung or LG TV. So many people go for the budget TV's or the entry level TVs. I won't buy entry level Samsung or LG TVs either. There is something to be said about you get what you pay for. For me, Mini-LED is the way to go until OLED can fix the screen burn and lower the cost.  I'm not sure there are any brands that dont see your data anymore. My livingroom TV is Samsung 85" Neo QLED 4K Smart TV (QN85QN85CAFXZA). And I use Govee Backlighting and have a JBL 500 soundbar.

I wouldn 't get a budget tv if i could afford to, like i said, its only going to displaying an image, never connected to the internet, specifically looking for something in my screen size for the budget I have

I am actually looking at this in the future, though might be outside your budget, unsure what you can get them for in your region.

  3. So I would really like to upgrade the tv that our ps5 is hooked up to, its currenylt on a 2016 era 55in 1080p LG that is horrible.

I don't really want to go much higher than $500

55in is kinda the hard requirement

    would like 4k

    would like HDR

I've looked through microcenter, best buy and walmart(lol), ther seems to be quite a few options, but it's hard to narrow down which one I should actually buy.

Picture of the spot it will be going in

Yeah, this makes total sense with the 3xxx and 4xxx from Nvidia being such good folders with way less power consumption.

This is cool even if the ppd is out of date. Looks close to my fiancee's 3060. Hat's off to you man, keep it up! 😄

i was considering retiring them in favor of a single 1080ti.

  6. old thread but still relevant, I have to buy a laptop every few years for the wife, last one we got was a MSI. Only Input I have is get one with the longest warranty they offer. Between keycaps breaking at the hinge, lines on the screen, heatpipe failure. i didn't have to pay anything and msi support was willing to direct ship me parts. It's just not something you should be doing on a $3k+ device.

On Windows 11 Desktop Chrome, it seems to be tied to the Carousel.

Just loading the home page and hitting the Enter key, it loads the currently visible 1st item in the Carousel.

So it seems like the Carousel is immediately setting tab focus on it's first item as it scrolls so when the use hit's enter, it opens up the carousel link instead which does default to opening a new tab with the review.

able to confirm, just going to https://extremehw.net/ and hitting enter, does open the review.
