Staff Position: Social Media Manager (Closed)

Hello all. 

 

We are looking for an individual to help us keep our Social Media account (Facebook & Twitter) active, relevant and up to date. The successful applicant would be able to take charge of our social media platform with a view to shaping it into something attractive and converting onlookers into followers! We would require applicants to manage both Facebook & Twitter, if you do not have accounts with one or both, you would be required to sign up to the platforms.

 

Position Details
 

• Manage our Facebook & Twitter accounts. 
• Ensure that site news, announcements and reviews are being submitted to both platforms for exposure.
• Share industry news threads from ExtremeHW forums / Share directly from other news outlets other social media accounts in the technology space.
• Ensure that while we are a respectable outlet, whilst being able to let our hair down and share/post humorous content, memes etc. 
• Moderate any comments we receive that go against our Terms & Conditions or that may otherwise cause trouble.

 

Expectations

 

• To ensure that content posted to the social media platforms are in keeping with the sites content matter. 
• To ensure that content posted to the social media platforms are in keeping with the sites Terms & Conditions
• To ensure that within reason, we are posting on our Facebook/Twitter at least 3 times a week, more would be preferable.

This is a voluntary position. You will have the opportunity to gain an insight into and first hand experience of managing a platforms social media presence. We hope that any experience you gain from this position is something that will help you either personally, or perhaps professionally in the future if a Social Media was something you wished to pursue as a career choice.  This position allows you to shape ExtremeHW's social media experience into something to be proud of.
