So I see 80-class going back to 256-bit card. Wonder if they'll do something like the AMD cards did with Infinity cache to not totally kill their 4k performance. Or maybe its fine on GDDR6X?

 

Remains to be seen I guess. Would have rather seen it as a 20GB 320-bit card at least. 256-bit seems sketchy to me, but maybe I am thinking old school.

Well amd had 512-bit gpu too. They do try to prevent too much increase in performance.

 

It like 3d Vcache on Ryzen. Intel knew that gain was available with broadwell, and never released any other product with it because it was still performing better than newer cpu year after.
