UL Solar Bay is the new cross-platform benchmark featuring a complex and demanding ray traced scene in real time. The benchmark is split over three stages with each section having increased ray tracing workload by 100% linearly. The test is meant to show “device’s ability, for instance performance for a short period of time”. This is intended to mimic mobile games which have gameplay with short bursts of activity, claims UL.
