Powercolor Red Dragon 5600 XT Modding Advice?

Recommended Posts

I plan on fully modding my Powercolor Red Dragon 5600 XT with 6x 70mm delta 67.8 cfm fans which is 406.8 cfm... Which may be adequate... 馃槈

Compared to the dual 95mm fans that come with it that output 45 cfm each, 90 cfm total.聽聽

I want to know if the integrated fan controller chip can handle all 6 fans?聽 It's only 3.36 amps at 12 volts...聽 Is that okay?

I'll post more pics when I get the card of the operation & the video bios modding...

Goals聽

2000Mhz core & 2000Mhz memory but if I want 400GB/s that's 2084Mhz memory & I want to try 2400Mhz core...聽 With the modded thermal pads, copper backplate, and modded memory cooling plate & the 406.8 cfm...聽 I hope it can close in on 2400Mhz core...聽 & Talk on the RTX 2070 & 5700 XT on the big end...

BIOS MODS GALORE using YAABE Yet Another Atom BIOS Editor on GitHub to achieve peak performance.

Thanks

So far I don't have the 6x 70mm fans but i do have 4x 70mm fans & a 60mm fan which are deltas which yield just 322.37 cfm.

Easy to work out. How many amps does each fan pull? If the total fans amp count is higher than the total output of the fan controller, then it will blow it.聽

You could get something like the Aqua Computer Octo to control the fans via Aquasuite.聽

I actually forgot I ran these fans on my Vega 56 & 6600 XT without issue on the stock onboard fan controller.聽聽

I desire close to 3Ghz on the Core & 3Ghz on the memory.聽 We will see what I find.

Don't assume all fan controllers are equal. Do the math before risking a hardware failure.

The best way聽 I've found with Delta's is to power the fans separately with a molex and just hook up the sense wires to the controller, that way you cant accidentally damage the board. Also a couple great big 120 Delta's from underneath a fridge or two would move a lot more air聽 馃槈聽 聽 Have fun, I love my finger choppers

I have a question about the navi curve helper. 聽Are you the developer of it? 聽Do you have experience with it?

As we can see the curve helper really doesn't work right at all. 聽May you advise a discord channel for these apps or a AMD VBIOS community discord channel or an email to the developer of the Navi Curve Helper?

If I set these settings in navi curve helper from the amd settings tuning. 聽

It results in this... 聽

The problem is, the voltage I set in the curve helper is 1173mv or 1.173v just like from the amd tuning but the result is 1154mv or 1.154v.

Thanks
