Nvidia RTX 3090 Series Testing, What games would you like to see tested ?

Why's that? There's a lot of rumours going around that one of the reasons why Cyberpunk got delayed again is because it's supposed to be included in a "bundle" when you buy a new RTX 3000 card. CDPR do seem to have some sort of deal going on with nVidia.

 

Well this is making the assumption we get the card prior to assumed launch date, so it is unlikely that Cyberpunk will be available to use at test time.

Here's my results of the built in test on Shadow Of War @ 1080  Maybe try running it @ 4k? P.S. this is with the ryzen 2700k and nvidia RTX 2070 non super.

I don't have any problem maxing out the games I play, so I know with the 3090 it would run even higher fps.
The game I am interested in is not out yet, so that won't work. 
You know the one thing I would love to know though, what it'll do with F@H

After looking at the fact we are going to be testing the RTX 3090 we have selected titles best suited towards the testing of this behemoth of a GPU our final selection is as follows.  This should give us a great overview of what this card is capable of and we very much look forward to the final article.

3D Mark Suite   
Control 
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020   
Metro Exodus  
Doom Eternal   
Crysis Remastered  
Crysis Original (For comparison against remastered )
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider 
Red Dead Redemption 2   
Battlefield 5

Hmmm let me see if we can fit that in as I would be interested to, but need to make sure it is ok with our guys actually doing the work

Well, from the looks of actual benchmarks, a lot of people pre-release were hyping the 3000 series to be a lot better than it is which is no surprise. The 3080 was meant to be 50-80% faster than the 2080Ti in every way from what I read pre-release. Now that they're actually out, it seems the 3080 is only 15% faster than the 2080Ti which is still very impressive. Personally, I was expecting 3080 vs 2080Ti performance to be about the same.

Yeah I knew it was going to be a hype train. Don't get me wrong, in SOME use case scenarios I am sure it is 50% better, but certainly not across the board. I think the 3090 will be far closer to that number than the 3080 but still I would fear it is not possible for the 3090 to be 50% better at all applications vs the 2080Ti. Too much of an ask from one generation leap.

I would love to the new Assassin's Creed once its released. Also maybe Call of Duty Warzone to see If it will actually improve the textures and rendering.

COD Warzone is a fairly low tier game but its something we can test in the future.

As for the new Assassin's Creed (Valhalla) I see its release is 17th of November which is a little late for this testing but we may be able to revisit it.

Assassins Creed has never been the most optimized game, but it might be worth adding as it is a popular game.

Another one is GTA V. It is pretty dated, now, but I would love to see what kind of performance it can get maxed out, including maxed out advanced graphics settings (except scaling) 4K.

I get around 35fps average on my 2070 maxed out 4K. I am going on memory though, I'll have to re-run the benchmark.

@Laithan anyway U still have your results from when U did the GTA V in 4k with the xeon & 980ti's?? I tried to find the link to the video on the other website but since they changed,it's messed up. I figured it would be a neat comparison with todays cards & cpu's!

I'd love to see Rainbow 6: Siege, but that will probably be covered by HuB or GN, so probably not an issue.

It is an interesting article. If it is the case that it is limited to 4 cores only, that would be a shame BUT not out of the ordinary considering so many other games still do not take full advantage of six core or even 8 core CPU's. So for me this does not put the game out of whack with other titles. Missed opportunity, for sure...but games have been missing that opportunity for yonks and still do lol. I certainly think it is still worthy of some 3090 treatment to see what gains (if any you get over the 3080) and furthermore how the original Crysis compares to the new one with respects to performance.

Crysis, like many other Crytek games, loves NVL/SLI-CFR...unfortunately, NVidia disabled CFR again with the latest drivers, afaik...worried about dual 2K RTX giving the 3K RTX a run for the money ?

The 3090 is not even a Titan and nVidia made it clear with drivers, so my guess is that it's not much more capable, so I'd guess that 3080 in SLI would probably be able to outpace the Ampere Titan, same reason why GTX 1060 6GB didn't have SLI capabilities, at under half the cost the same or better performance.
