GPU shortages are bad enough already: the GeForce RTX 3090, GeForce RTX 3080, GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Radeon RX 6800 XT, and Radeon RX 6800 all continue to sell out as fast as they're produced. Now, the best graphics cards are set to disappear even faster thanks to skyrocketing cryptocurrency prices. We've seen this pattern several times over the past decade since Bitcoin first came into existence, and every option at the top of our GPU benchmarks hierarchy will be impacted. It's the great GPU shortage of 2017 all over again. Sigh.

...not making any predictions re. 'coins', but right now a lot of money that does not want to be tracked or be subject to other controls is moving given recent elections and a changing international  political landscape...Should be interesting to see what happens in 1 - 2 months.

 

...I see a rare few 3090s pop up here and there at my regular online retailers / MSRP, but I should take screenshots because a little bit later, they disappeared... Two of these were available here '''briefly''' locally

I'm glad I pulled the trigger on my card when I had the chance. There are a few 3090's available here in the Netherlands, but not the brands I want.
Anything else is sold out, only a few low end cards are for sale.
