  1. Yes it a new design. And it won't go anytime soon. They have 48gb stick too.
  2. Most laptop overheat and it part of their design these days. My 5900hx was pegged at 95c 24/7 running BOINC protein folding stuff for like 2 week without issue. And for paste some like the g15 run liquid metal i don't think a respaste is really needed most of the time. Because it will throttle stock and will still throttle with new paste most of the time. You can reduce Power in the asus armoury crate software to the cpu or gpu each of their slider go to almost 0 to reduce heat. CMOS i have no idea i know the strix can be bios modded and overclocked but it already run pretty hot so it mostly undervolting to increase performance.
  3. I have no idea if it sr or dr. I think my mobo says support 8000mhz sr. No idea if it really matter or not.

  8. @Bastiaan_NL had luck running higher than that if am not wrong on a kingpin or apex if am not wrong.
  9. Cpu can maybe handle the heat. But the mosfet and capacitor around it don't like it.
  10. Could check for the Asus Strix G15 Advantage Edition i own one. Sometime it like 1500usd or less in the usa. Either 1080p or 1440p option The 6850m or 6800m perform about the same as a 3080 mobile it a desktop 6700xt with 140w+ power limit. Can't help on newer 13th gen or 4000 serie laptop because canada get them ways after USA. Battery life is impressing too had over 8h browsing.

The 8000mhz seem to be at about 545$ USD I don't know if we can order single unit from all seller. https://www.taobao.com

  16. I hate newer gpu. Most of those amd card could do 3ghz + if it was not of the locked tdp..... The 7900xt would be 100% irrelevant garbage.

@neurotix I would wait for next gen if i was you so they can fix their 3dcache thing. We see no benchmark of overclocked 13600k or 13700k and i wonder why. They probably get very close to the 7950x3d or future 7800x3d. Only reason i upgraded from 12700k to 13900k is core count. Because beam ng render car on thread. 5900x is pretty fast
  24. My mobile 6800m is a desktop 6700xt you don't see me complaining
  25. I don't think they will increase core count. The 13900ks is already giving a run for it money to most server cpu in passmark. If they want to sell their 10k cpu they need to keep mainstream cpu slower. Reason why intel is going 6 p core and 16 e core next release supposedly.
