Most of these project end up failing or have a too small community to have good OS support but their is many board around. It getting interesting. Just got myself a Lenovo Duet 5 13.3 tablet with arm cpu. And this thing so fast for a 8 core arm and a 1080p oled. Those arm computer are the future if intel/amd doesnt reduce pricing and improve power consumption. My pentium N4020 is sluggish compared to my duet 5.

I dont even know what i could do with a cpu like this Maybe folding@home. No idea how they perform at folding. I wonder what can use all those thread. Now we need hybrid small/big core design with 3d cache / HBM

I think it because of the newer instruction that rendering and other software use it like furmark on gpu they just get used more effectively and that increase temperature and power draw. My 12700k can game at 5.1 pcore and 4.1 ecore at 1.3v without any issue on my 360mm cooler. But folding@home hit 95-103c depending on work unit. Cinebench run cooler i think like 85c. Socket temp is always at 90c+ for some reason. At stock i can fold at days on the nh d15 but am still like 80c-90c Gaming doesnt run hot as hot but depending on core usage.

Nh D15 can cool a stock 12700k but it close to throttling on mine. I think my chip run ways hotter for some reason. Even my 360mm cooler had a hard time.

As Avacado said depend on your budget. The 12600k can handle the task for sure. Even a i3 12100f could probably those new intel core are very powerfull. I just prefer the 12700k because it got 8 full core.

12700k is worth it. 8 pcore instead of 6 and 4 ecore for your vm. Could game and run vm at the same time. A 5800x3d or 5900x could be a good option too. Air cooler Noctua Nh d15 can cool it if it fit in your case. For storage i love my sn850 but they are expensive.

The scaling is great we cant lie about that. Wonder why intel doesnt make those hyperthreaded. Performance wise it slower than my phone

Nah setting those work fine and even crossfire is impressive at high resolution. Their some benchmark of direct x 12 multigpu scaling with dual 6800xt. Fee game support it. But the amd app for some reason hate me. Set res to 4k 10bit 120hz. Install new driver. Default to 4k 8 bit 60hz cant change it. Move cable from tv port and it fixed itself like what? Fan setting never stick for long. I updated my hdmi cable to a real 2.1 And ddu Am sure i can crash the app be just changing fan setting and res setting too many time . Maybe it a curse. Still like my 6800xt except some driver issue.

As an enthusiast that used Eyefinity Surround VR and 4K 120hz The nvidia panel is 10000x more stable than that piece of crap amd thing that crash and never hold any setting from 7950x2 crossfire to rx 480 rx 580 and now my 6800xt. I miss my 1070 Ways overcomplicated going around the amd setting. Remind me of Xfire and Raptr thing

I bent a micro atx once to fit a 1000w psu hahaha. Those amd gpu are great. 100mhz is almost 10% gain in fps

Thank you both for the help! Did not know for the physx thing did see the option in ddu and the file in some window folder. Motherboard up to date. It a Sapphire 6800xt Pulse but doesn't seem to have any bios update. Did not even think about the bios switch just checked it so small i never saw it For some reason it run stable now. I put TDP to default in Msi afterburner. Maybe my card is borderline stable at stock clock. Gonna try the other bios right now I tried running rage mode in amd control center with default setting and it was doing the same thing when brand new. Sorry for hijacking thread il report back in some days.

I once ordered A Glove Clip for the belt and the bag that supposed to contain it had a pocket knife in it worth like 1$ ??? Amazon sent me another one. No idea how it happened because it was in a sealed bag with the clip printed on it.
