  1. OnePlus Says It Will Not Bring a 7-Year Update Support Plan To Its Phones, Because The Hardware Will Simply Not Keep Up With The Features WCCFTECH.COM OnePlus President says the company will not bring seven years' of updates to phones because the hardware will not match the new features This assertion seems far from accurate in my experience. Having avidly followed hardware trends and delved into specifications for years, it's evident that smartphone manufacturers have been increasing lithium battery voltage for quite some time. This ostensibly boosts capacity marginally while significantly compromising the battery lifespan—a clever ploy for planned obsolescence. However, let's not be swayed by these misleading claims. Modern smartphones are, without a doubt, technologically advanced and often overpowered for the average user. The capability to handle 4k and even 8k output is commonplace. In fact, these devices can effortlessly support multiple concurrent applications like YouTube, Chrome, and others without any noticeable lag. Remarkably, in some cases, they even outperform Windows 11 on high-end hardware. It's clear that the hardware has surpassed the needs of 99% of users in today's technological landscape. Mr.Bonami

    AMD Drivers

Personally i can't stand the Amd interface i find it horrendous with ways too many tab for no reason. Am old school i prefer program for tuning and driver to be separate. Instead of having top of the line msi afterburner. We now have half baked amd software. My mobile 6800m seem to run great with the default driver but i wonder if they have a custom one for mobile. For some reason the new AFMF seem to do nothing in Ark Ascended meanwhile Nvidia frame gen double fps. Not exactly the same tech so i can't complain. Will test in more game sooner or later
  3. All depend on point of view. No worry. A gts250 had a 270mm2 die i think. We are downgrading as years go by
  4. @Sir Beregond @Slaughtahouse We still are missing a 4010-4030-4050-4050ti. Nvidia playing with us. The 4090 not even a full die.
  5. the 4070 is honestly a 4050 class gpu. My mobile 6800m gpu is on par with a desktop 6700xt the 6700xt is almost on par with a 4060ti.
  6. If you compare a 6800xt 300w tdp and a 4070 200w tdp. They perform almost on par and use about the same power in game. Never broke 220w with my 6800xt pushing 4k. The 6800xt msrp 649$ Release 2020 The 4070 msrp 850$ Release 2023 Something really wrong to offer same performance W than a 3 years old gpu. And 12gb vram vs 16gb.
  7. The 4090 as almost 60% more core than the 4080. Mostly why the 4080 is a joke. If they had the same die and at least 12-14k core. 4080ti for 1000$ would be good.
  8. Yea am 90% wanting nvidia with all my past issue. 4070 super from gigabyte with high tdp is almost on par with the 4070ti. If we get high clock/tdp 4070ti super i may take the plunge but i know 16gb will be an issue sooner or later in vr.
  9. If 7900xtx drop am getting one. Waiting to see their version of frame gen. Am not getting a 16gb vram gpu.
  10. That weird i think i read in the article or somewhere that it was better at burn in. Damn marketing lie haha. Sad because the image must be sharper for computer use.
  11. Don't worry about burn in. My lg oled as none after almost 3 years. Just need to move icon and change wallpaper often. And use hide taskbar option.
  12. I feel it fit fine in the Technology New thread. Most of it is computer related like the AI Brain research and many other thing
  13. The good thing about ATX is quality standard. Like the PSU i think it the only hardware part in the world with efficiency rating and marketing on using quality part like Japanese cap. The newer laws about hardware are forcing them to make stuff upgradeable again and repairable. Framework laptop show how upgradeable stuff can be it pretty impressive to be able to remove the gpu from the back of the laptop. MultiGPU need to come back i would says. The new trend of cable less mobo is maybe the road we should take?
  14. Don't need to go crazy on t-shirt guy. Anyone can recognise alienware by name. We should focus on this. The EXTREMEHW logo is already pretty cool.
  15. Patriot developing high-speed DDR5 RAM that guarantees speeds up to DDR5-7200 regardless of CPU IMC quality — unlocks higher overclocking potential, too | Tom's Hardware WWW.TOMSHARDWARE.COM The secret lies in a small clock driver (CKD) chip.

  17. Never noticed but those panel QD Oled are RGB pixel vs LG RGBW pixel. If am not wrong that mean they should have sharper text and even image at same resolution. https://videocardz.com/newz/aorus-introduces-worlds-first-gaming-oled-monitor-with-displayport-2-1-and-uhbr20
  18. Compact CAMM Memory Modules Coming To Desktop PCs According To SK Hynix WCCFTECH.COM The CAMM (Compression Attached Memory Modules) standard might be making its way to desktop PCs according to SK hynix.
  19. My fault did not want to take too much from the article. The new update allow Frame Gen without upscaling

  21. After browsing for month for good battery life. It either lenovo Z13, Chromebook or a Macbook if you want battery life. The only one with a decent price ratio is the Macbook. Intel are horrendous and amd based device are not that much better.
  22. Completly forgot about intel. Calculated fast they says 60%+ more core. And i imagine it a new node. Seem it going to be around 6800xt performance at a minimum. Not bad considering the 6800xt can beat a 4070 in some bench.
  23. Update unrelated Afmf Seem to be supported on the new 8600g 8700g the benchmark chart from amd seem to says that it was used. So maybe a 8600g with a 4070 super 4070ti super could be able to do 4k effortlessly!
  24. I need to take a look. They are kinda like group so it true it may not work for us. I need to rethink about my weird idea haha.
  25. Or the oven. Well i can't even remember if both are the same connector. Now you need both one for you EV and one for your PC.
