  1. Good to know. I'm not tied to the Amazon ecosystem and use Calibre for some things. I don't have a Kindle and won't.
  2. I never really liked the fact that you had to pay for the privilege to not see ads on top of paying for the product. I have a Kobo (anagram for book) and it works great. I can check out books directly from the library on it. Seems strange that they'd go this route rather than minimize the damage done from the colorsoft fiasco.
  3. oof yea, just some anecdotal evidence i guess. had the 4090 since 12/24/22 (microcenter restocked on Christmas Eve those chums)
  4. I don't think neuro is on the forums as much anymore but aside from the back of the cm1000 issue the 4090 12VHPWR cable is in tact and not melted.
  5. Not worth it to upgrade the 4090 imo
  6. Looking forward to the future!
  7. Great job! As a fellow data nerd and spreadsheet person I appreciate the way you've laid this out.

    Hi

Welcome to the forums! Happy to see you over here too.
  9. Hi E, I'm Neuro's wife. I've been lurking here for a bit and was a member of the prior forums since 2012. You have put in your time and your health and ultimately you come first! I've been just so impressed with all you've done over these years. There are definitely large shoes to fill. Thank you for keeping this hobby enjoyable and allowing us the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts across the globe. All the best in your next chapter in life, B
  10. We met briefly on video chat! I'm bummed to hear you're stepping down but hope our paths cross again.
  11. Not sure it warrants such a significant price increase lacking a disc drive. I have a disc console for bw compatibility, and RDR2 looks great on the OLED. I don't need to see Arthur Morgans nose hairs in 60 fps 4k.
  12. Love the color combination. Not too gaudy and quite refined.
  13. Ublock on the browser and i have a private dns for adguard in Android.
  14. posting my keyboards~ KB brand, switches, keycaps, and orings Epomaker Mini Cat 64 Kailh Box Pink Epomaker MIA Black O-rings Yunzii YZ21 Kailh Box White Macaron PBT Yunzii/Keynovo IF98 Kailh Box Pale Blue Popkeey Cinnamoroll ThreeBulls Red O-Rings GMMK V2 Fullsize Kailh Box Navy XVX Great Wave Off Kanagawa WASD Blue O-Rings
  15. Neuro listed the consoles we own already but I've got a banger stuck in my head:
  16. I'll admit that overclocking is DEFINITELY my kryptonite... but i have a feeling neuro will want to buy one of the first batches of chips since he's been dealing with the 2nd ccd not boosting for over a year. but the chip has also been stable for over a year too. I'm like flux and want to just wait.
  17. hate to break it to you, amd of course covering their asses after we've complained to high hell: given this, id rather wait and see what the first batch of chips yield and then we can figure out what to do. as you said, it's stable now and much more practical versus just a single need for boosting. i care more about the stability and longevity versus boosting. not just saying that. i understand I'm prolly going against the grain with the motto of the website but we have a pretty decent chip in there now that's being air cooled.
  18. the hard monopoly Ticketmaster and Live Nation has on venues and how they shaft artists.... damn pearl jam warned us of this 30 years ago. my data was compromised in the supposed hack but it's at least 8 years old.
  19. awesome hobbies you all have! I'm boring and read a lot. my goal is to do a book a week. currently reading holly by Stephen King. used to be into (though i get nostalgic sometimes): -bass guitar -skateboarding -online mmorpgs -fighting games (didn't play in tournaments) occasionally: -current rpgs (still need to finish TOTLK, I'm interested in the new assassin's creed) -retro games actively: -reading -gardening -watching movies with neuro
  20. I appreciate that, i use my android 14 tablet indoors and needed an ereader for outdoors since lcds can be quite difficult to read in the sun. i mainly check books out from the library but got calibre to handle the epub management.
  21. can confirm, but still waiting on @Fluxmaven to model the potential bikinis
