    Nice Mistio! Don't underestimate that 2070!

I am amazed every day what a good sport it is. It oscillates between 1.9 and 2.2M PPD. Some WUs are quite weird. I had one with 600K. I guess my shutdown timer was not calculated properly and it must have killed the machine during folding and this led to some weird stuff happening.

    I originally had a KFA 2080 card.
Sadly my x58 refused to boot with it.
So i read online that x58 has a bigger chance of working with a 2070.

So I went back to the shop and replaced it.

You will laugh at me but 6 months after I owned the card I realized this is actually a Galaxy card!!
I used to have Galaxy products when I was younger :).

    Yummy! Galaxy GTX 580 graphics

PS: i have some plans for next spring.

Maybe prices drop in 6-7 months on 2070s and I will add a second one in this old rig.

The new one will have a very strong GPU for gaming and i might get a second one for back-up which will act as a folder.

Now if this forum grows bigger I will gladly push  4-5 GPUs for 8-10 M PPD.

We will see if this will be an AMD rig or Alder Lake.

Until then, easy does it :)

  2. 6 months ago I was cleaning my partner's laptop.
It is a rather old one, with a platter HDD.
There was an annoying fan sound and could not troubleshoot it.
So I placed the laptop sideways without a bottom cover.
Little did I know that by doing so and running Cinebench to ramp up the fans, I would f-up the HDD.

The laptop HDD now makes a noise when you shift left around a horizontal axis.

  3. I will admit, I am impressed by this keybioard!

  4. Holy Mother of God!
I don't think they make them like this anymore *hahah*.

    My Xeon machine is amazing!

Running 4.6 GHz @ 1.43V with my RTX 2070 at 1950 MHz and hitting 2.2M PPD sometimes.

The GPU does not exceed 60 centigrade with fans at 42%.

Added some points for this awesome forum :).

  5. To be top 20 is gonna be hard for my Xeon + RTX *hahah*.

My lord I need over 8 million points.

To suicide run my laptop and desktop for 4 days non stop or to not suicide run my laptop and desktop for 4 days non stop ? That is what Shakespeare was thinking when he wrote his famous line.

I bet your hardware will thank you for getting rid of that fur :classic_laugh:

    Team rank 398 :wheee_orange::whee:

    Hah yeah ?

Testing my tiny setup for the competition.
With the right PPD, these two tiny things should hit 3.5M a day ?

Sadly I won’t be able to Fold 24/7 so I will help the forum a bit as well when I can fold ☺️

That's some genuinely impressive dust buildup. Glad you got the opportunity to tidy up a bit.

3 years of neglect and laziness on my side.
Its hitting clocks like mad now.  My GPU is folding @1910 MHz on Core and 7000 on Memory.

  8. Spent my Sunday productively.
It was a mess but it’s all nice and clean now. Temperatures are off the charts now after using some Grizzly bear on

We will see how it folds once I set up an Operating system.

  9. Its DENON FRIDAY!!!!
I wonder if the Mark Lawton pads fit the 9200! :)
I have been listening back to back between the D2000 and the D9200.
I still love my D2000 but ... there is truly a decade between them :)
The whole sound of the D2000 lacks ... harmony.
Even the bass when it is sophisticated, the D2000 cannot get out of the woofer-esque sound
