  1. I booked a week off as well. I got some laughs from my partner too but then she realised we can't go anywhere so she said enjoy *hahah* Hopefully the servers will not get too hammered and CDPR will allow pre-loads in tranches.
  2. Not many people know but Luxembourg is a very far ahead with the legislation for space exploration. Last year I attended a very interesting evening with people from : 1. NASA 2. SES 3. Air Liquide 4. ESA It was very cool to see experts in the field discussing the future of space exploration. What made my jaw drop is what the guy from Air Liquide said when it comes to our ability to conquer space. He stated that at this point in time we rely too much on resources from our planet. We need to be able to make do with items we find on the moon and potentially other planets. He also stated that Air Liquide has developed the means to use lunar ice to fuel rockets :). Splitting water from Oxygen on the moon would make rockets carry different proportions of fuel to crew/equipment. At this point in time its mainly fuel. After this amazing evening with people knowing their s**t, we had a nice Apollo 11 screening!
  3. This movie was better than I expected!
  4. I was surprised not to see a topic on this. Game has gone gold and the release is just around the corner. How many of you will you be playing? On my side, as I believe in quality work, I purchased two versions of the game. I have a collector's edition and also a GoG edition. I did the same with TW3. I had a Steam version when it came out and when Goty was released I got one on GoG to help CDPR.
  5. I was pleasantly surprised with the movement and combat speed. I mean I was coming after 100 hours with Geralt and Aloy was jumping like Yoda in the fight with Dooku. I also understand that the story might not appeal to everyone and chasing lore items might become boring but once you get far in the game its rather fun to fight huge enemies and ropecast them. Once you ropecast, you take control of the biggest and the meanest. Then grab your pop corn and watch chaos ensue from the sidelines *haha*.
  6. I would vote for a laptop section
  7. I will knock on their door and ask them if this rig can play Flight Simulator *hahah*.
  8. My uncle lives in the same town and he has the same connection. Meanwhile, in my area it took them 10 years to put fibre. 500/200 is enough for me.
  9. 25 years ago but part of my family is still there.
  10. I see no incentive to upgrade from my 512 GB XS Max.
  11. I want him at Red Bull as well. Truth be told, poor guy had to drive Stroll's car and compared to the others he did not sleep at all before in order to acclimate himself with the steering wheel. He was so focused he barely said a word.
  12. Welcome! Remember to bring a friend
  13. Hulkenberg FTW! Guy wakes up in Cologne / Koln to start his day and prepare for his RTL assignment and he ends up in a Formula 1 car!
  14. As the title states, don't be shy! Post until the servers drop! I will start :).
  15. This is interesting. I recall I saw some documentation where mobo manufacturers 'colluded' with a chip maker than shall not be named and asked them to change sockets more often in order to launch new products. They claimed it is cheaper to make a new mobo rather than offer support for multiple years. I am happy to see buying the best and latest is optional and not mandatory.
  16. I regret buying Topping to be honest. Should have gone for Schiit. I fell victim to peer pressure and measurement graphs contrary to my nature where I listen to stuff before buy them. Everytime I plug my cans in my NAD I realize what an idiot I was.
  17. I am running in my Razer laptop Samsung's 970 Evo + 2 TB NVME drive. Very happy with the performance and quality. I also used Samsung's Magician to create that special space to prolong its life. Test was done half a year ago on a fresh windows install without any drivers or anything.
  18. Interesting. I wonder if additional changes will take place because the cards are truly on the limit. Not everyone can use water cooling with ice and blow cold air on them with an aircon to keep a stable 2GHz clock. I have a feeling they will also iron out the famous circuitry layout under the GPU. With age comes wisdom and I learned the hard way not to buy things as soon as they launch. Today's industry is based on pushing products out and fixing them after. I no longer buy anything unless a few months pass and gremlins are sorted. I tested too many times on my own money. Remember companies had armies of people helping with quality control and assurance, now we do it for them.
  19. You guys need to be banned for being able to enjoy this beauty! If I run this on my Razer Laptop, I will need to call the fire department *haha*.
