  1. If they had a proper anti-cheat system, they can just generate new private encryption keys and it won't be a concern for ruining gameplay. But if it's any half-assed security by obfuscation design, then they will likely need another 6-months to come up with another solution.
  2. If the quality of MW2019 and success of Warzone is any indication, Battlefield has a lot to stand up to. Which is good.
  3. This is most definitely a variant of CBR and definitely has no AI inferencing involved. It's likely using customized profiles to deal with artifacts for individual games.
  4. Intel is now regretting having shown to the world what the 5775C can do, before its time.
  5. I still have my hopes in cosmic migrations -- intentional or not.
  6. Modern Warfware. Again. And Again. And. I really should replay Diablo with the DevilutionX re-implementation before D2R launch.
  7. RAM optimization is the ultimate rabbit hole you will have to go in. However, have you trimmed the fat first so that you can fit. Absolute minimal background apps and services for the OS? Check your system with a resplendence Latency Monitor?
  8. Saw some confirmation on reddit that it's working for 9700K and 9900K on Z390 boards. So, it's probably just incomplete communication, as usual in these things.
  9. Despite most Z390 motherboards also being ready, it seems Intel is sticking to its guns with just 11th and 10th gen support in this rollout. This must be a lock in the AMD and NVidia drivers.
  10. Seems like a natural economic reaction to all the pandemic-induced inflation. Unfortunately, wages and salaries are the last to react to such changes and often take far too long.
  11. This could be a normal thing. Designers normally don't stick around to do maintenance work. And CDPR may not be interested in creating new IP's soon.
  12. Would love to unplug from my G502, but there's too many reviews of double-clicking from the G703 on amazon. Far as reviews go, the double-clicking seems to affect all of Logitech's lineup now?
  13. More details about The Fabled Woods game and RTX/DLSS implementation: Hey R/Nvidia! I'm Joe, the developer of The Fabled Woods! I've been working with Nvidia to implement Ray Tracing using Unreal Engine 4 over the last few months as a solo developer, what do you think? : nvidia (reddit.com)
  14. System Shock and Fabled Woods get NVIDIA DLSS thanks to Unreal Engine 4 Plugin - VideoCardz.com These two games are seeing nearly doubled FPS at 4K with the new Unreal Engine build and DLLS on. Both games have demos available for trying out the feature if you have an RTX capable GPU. If this is any indication, adoption for Unreal Engine titles should go relatively quickly with an engine update and rebuild.
  15. The i5-11400F at $30/core would have been great if I didn't get a 3600X at $35/core. These are just a few months late, and still on 14nm power hunger.
  16. Getting closer to simulating the real world: Applying ray tracing in games | GamesIndustry.biz Has great visuals to illustrate the specific ways RT improves image quality vs rasterization. Also presents some of the tricks still needed with RT in order to avoid costly extra light bounces.
  17. Need some UNI fans, dam! cables!
  18. After reading several tweets and takes on this, it's not conclusive if it has been cracked.
  19. If a Russian can resolder 16GB of GDDR6 onto an RTX 3070, surely someone on Extreme Hardware can glue together a broken standoff .
